Vehicle Detail
Up for bids, my 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Seville. Only 2100 made this year. The build date is January 22, 1957. It left the factory with a black body, black top and a red and white leather interior. I purchased the car on April 11, 1978 and drove it until 1981. It has remained stored, in my posession since then. The motor starts right up and runs well. No knocks, clacking or loud clicks. It does smoke some when warmed up. The transmission was rebuilt and recently a new electric fuel pump was installed. Power steering, power seat and radio operate well. The exhaust system and brakes need replacement, and the gas tank needs cleaning. The car has not been road tested, so I assume there may be other issues to address. the glass is very good, only one crack; in rt. side passenger wing window. Back window has some fogging above bottom edge, left side. Windshield is very good. Body is very straight, no signs of previous collision damage. Areas requiring sheet metal repair/replacement: floor boards (a new rt. rear replacement panel goes with the car), both dog legs, rear sections of rocker panels, bottom of drivers door, area under rear bumper, trunk ledge, bottom of front fenders, bottom edge of roof, left side, shallow dent pass. door. Sale includes new carpets, top covering material, GM Heritage information packet, and all five original Kelsey- Hayes wheels. Inspection by bidder or bidders representative is encouraged. Vehicle is located on Long Island New York, postal code 11763. Ask questions before bidding. This is a chance to purchase a running, restorable desirable 50's collector car for the price of a parts car. Reserve is set very low, so bid to buy, and please be prepared to pay. Outside U.S. bidders; be prepared to pay with cash, or direct bank transfer if you win.
