Vehicle Detail
Greetings Classic Vehicle Collectors!!!! Here is a 1962 International Harvester Model AM122 Panel Truck. Best of all...IT RUNS!!! It was driven and parked where it is now just a few months ago. My father-in-law obtained it hoping to restore it, but due to declining health, he has decided to sell it instead. This would be an EXCELLENT restoration project. The body is in good shape, the 6 cylinder engine runs well (There is a plastic line that needs to be connected from the engine to the oil gauge, and it is in the truck.), and ALL of the glass is in tact! The rear door is very heavy duty, and folds down to a ramp. Once restored, this would be a GREAT vehicle to haul a motorcycle to the Sturgis Rally, or would be a neat band vehicle for hauling gear...or anything else you could dream up! It would also just be neat to be restored to original condition to be used in shows of all kinds. Exact mileage is unknown. We DO know that it was used as a milk delivery truck, so I'm guessing mileage is pretty high. This vehicle has a clean and clear title stating the follwing information: 1962 International Harvester Panel Truck, Model AM122, VIN: 35484B, 3,860 pounds, clean/clear title. The reserve price on this rig is set VERY, VERY LOW. In fact, the price is set at what the salvage yard offered my father-in-law, so it is ONLY set at SCRAP VALUE!!! The engine ALONE is worth 3 or 4 times that! For obvious reasons, this is a pick-up ONLY item. The truck is located 7 miles south of Mitchell, SD, (57301). Pickup can be done virtually any time. We are very willing to make any time work for you. $200.00 deposit required through PayPal within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The entire balance may be paid through PayPal if the buyer wishes, or the remainder will be in cash upon pick up. Please ask ANY and ALL questions prior to bidding! Good Luck, Happy Bidding, and we look forward to doing business with you!!! Check our feedback! You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!On Sep-24-10 at 17:47:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional Information: I have had a few questions that have been the same, so I will add this updated information... *The engine is an inline 6 cylinder International Harvester engine. *The engine runs, and the truck was driven a couple of miles to where it is now parked, but I'm not sure I would trust it to drive any type of distance before it is gone through. *I did notice a crack in the glass on the driver's side door, but it appears as though it was sealed at one time, and is so fine that I can't get it to show up on a picture. *There is no, what I call "cancerous rust." There is a spot on the driver's side that is, for lack of a better term, cracked. Looks as though it would be fairly easy to repair. *The engine cover IS included and is inside the vehicle. *The tires are not in the best shape, but I believe they DO hold air. This is the best up-to-date information I can give. I went and looked the truck over today in the daylight, and it really is in pretty darn good shape for it's age, especially with the engine not being only LOOSE, but RUNNING. Thanks for all the interest, bids, and questions! Good luck to all bidders!!!
