Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this beautiful 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85 Convertible. The car has been in storage since 1991, the car was restored in 1982 through 1986. During that time the car was stripped, (California car no rust) repainted Robins Egg Blue with matching interior and new dark blue carpet. You'll also find a center console with a factory tachometer mounted on it. At the end of the restoration, the car was under coated by Z-bart.The beauty also has a new top with a plastic rear window and or a black and a blue convertible boot so you can change between the two. The top goes down on it's own (it's power) but needs some help going up. I was told that this may be caused by lack of oil in the power top system. The car is running it's orginal motor, a 330 with a 4bbl carburator with a power glide transmission. We have been driving the car around the yard and it drives and runs very nice. The brakes work great and there is a full set of factory spoke hub caps on the car. The car had new tires installed at the time of the restoration but that was in 1983, they look nice but they are old. I'm unsure if I would drive very far on them. I also would give the car a full tune up, it does run fine but it has sat for so long I would worry that it would have a problem on a long trip. Things that should be considered: **The car has sat so very long that it needs a tune up, tires, all belts and hoses. **There are some small paint chips on the drivers side rear that need to be touched up. **The Tachometer does not work. **The top goes down fine but needs some help going up, Low oil? Lack of use? **The wiper switch is bad, a short? new switch? **A good waxing and interior detail What we have done: **New battery. **We changed the oil and installed new valve cover gaskets. **We installed two rear wheel cylinders. **We have washed and cleaned the interior The Fine Print: Please ask questions before bidding. We will only take PAY PAL or CASH as payment for the car, NO CHECKS OF ANY KIND, NO BANK TRANSFERS AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need $500 down within 48 hours at the end of the auction through PAY PAL. The car is sold AS IS and we invite you to come and look at the car before you bid. We will not ship the car, we can help with the loading of the car. Please consider how you'll get the car home before you bid. The title MUST be filled out with the name of the winning bid before the car is picked up, this is the law in Michigan. Please, Please ask questions and good luck.
