Vehicle Detail

Hi, This has been my bi-weekly rider for about five years now. The truck is truly rust free, has a low mileage 350 factory crate engine, and a low mileage 700 R4 transmission. It gets good mileage, and is very dependable. The AC blows cold, but the other day I drove it and one of the vacuum diaphrams has quit, I'll try to get it to the shop to get this fixed, but if not it shouldn't cost but around a hundred bucks to get it fixed. All the lights work, it has a map light rear view mirror, the seats came out of an 01 Monte Carlo, and the floor boards are all new, and I painted them with industrial rust coat black paint, and coated the undersides, so no rust issues there. The bed is original, in good shape and needs paint or rino, I just couldn't make up my mind, but you can see it is very solid with only minimal surface rust. I honestly don't know of any rust on the truck, even around the battery. The reason for the new floor boards was because of one small rust hole in the passenger side pan behind the seat. I replaced both to have all new. I've been welding and restroring for thirty years, so it was done right. The exhaust is all new with turbos, just enough rumble and not loud. Water drops are showing in most of the pictures because I wanted to dust it off, it stays inside, and the stains on the rear end cover was from a dirt dobber nest, it too is dry and clean. All door window rubber is new, all carpet is new, seats are in great shape and very comfortable. The truck comes with every GM manual available for this car, body, electrics etc. Along with a stack of receipts an inch thick. A lot of history is there. I can send you a picture of this too if you want. Some dummy, me, was rebuilding the hinges that didn't need it, and let the drivers door fall over and dinged the door, hard to tell just wanted to let everyone know. All the hoses, water pump, ac hoses, apmpressor, belts, thermostat and I can't remeber what else under the hood are recent. The engine is low mileage, probably around 25,000 and has around 3000 on the 700 R4, which I had installed by a local transmission shop with the receipts. Has fifteen inch centerlines, recent air shocks on back, new SS springs all around, new back bumper, you can have the old one too, it's still inpretty good shape, the front has a spot of rust on it, not bad, but it's there. I have a new complete factory cruise control still in the boxes, an extra speedometer, vacuum switch for the dash, and can't remember wht else, but it all goes with the truck. Some of these are hard to find, and when I did I bought them just in case. The interior is in good condition, and the paint is good for a driver, if you want a show truck you might want to repaint. It has a paint chip or two, nothing that takes away from the guy next to you in a corvette looking at you, my wife noticed that one. Really it does get a lot fo attention, is very dependable, and a lot of fun. If you like the sound of a Rochester Quatro Jet screaming, it'll do that too. I put it together for a driver, it's a stock crate 350, and does quite nicely. I'm 54 years old and have driven it sparingly and like the old man I am,. but it's time for it to go to someone else now, I need the room. I can accept a five hundred dollar deposit via paypal withing three working days, full payment within seven days, otherwise, call me and make arrangements or it will be relisted. If you have less than five purchases on ebay, contact me by the phone or I will cancel your bid, sorry but I don't need a time share in Shrilanka. Thanks, Steve Thompson 706-860-8655 On Sep-19-10 at 04:37:56 PDT, seller added the following information: And NO! I don't have a thing against Shrilanka, I've been around for a while, and don't have time or the need for somebodies idea of a fun scam. This is not fun for me or the other REAL bidders out there. Thanks again, SteveOn Sep-24-10 at 13:14:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi, I just picked it up from the body shop where repairing the aforementioned oh no I made in the door, so it's repaired now. Guy tried to buy it at the body shop, told him he had to wait til the auction was over. He said he doesn't get them rust free like that very often, so if it doewn't go on here, it's sold. I was going to get it into the shop to get the ac vacuum fixed, it will blow out the vents when you get going down the road, so I think it might be as simple as the vacuum assist ball, don't know. Unfortunately, I've had a death in the family, and won't get to that. There are still road chips in the paint etc, like I said, It is a driver, not a show peice, but a very nice driver. On Sep-26-10 at 14:23:00 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to add, when I put on all the new hoses, I also added a new radiator, so the temps even on these 110 degree days stays right at 180 degrees.
