AND IT IS A BLAST TO DRIVE, SO I’VE ONLY PUT ABOUT FIFTEEN-HUNDRED TO TWO THOUSAND MILES ON THE ALFA SINCE I BOUGHT IT ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND IT ALWAYS RAN FINE FOR ME, BUT THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT ANY CAR OF ITS AGE NEEDS, IN THIS CASE MOSTLY COSMETIC. -IT NEEDS: -A/C SWITCH. -2 ELECTRIC WINDOW SWITCHES, $35.00 EA. Some fool who owned the car in the past glued the Alfa emblem over the crack in the dashboard, guess he thought it looked cool, what an idiot. -1 DENT IN THE BODY. UPDATE: You may noticed a the Auto Check listed a mileage speed-o discrepancy, my photo showing 113k and Auto Check showing 155k. I know it’s hard to believe but It appears that Auto Check may be in error. I contacted DMV about the this matter and DMV told me that Auto Check, i.e. (esperian) and others gather their mileage data from source like ‘Oil Can Mary’s’ and other ‘credit card’ oriented sources. This leads me to suspect a possible teen-aged grease-monkey oriented mileage transfer typo, which I can relate to, after having been one myself through my hung-over high school and college day career. Please note a second error, the report also states that I am the 1st and only owner. I know for a fact that there was at least 2 other owners in this Alfa’s 27 year old history before me, the person I bought the Alfa from in Los Angles and the person he bought it from, prior to that who knows. Now don’t get me wrong, other info these agencies report on like, accident, fire, water damage and salvage data are very important and are documented in a different way by more reliable methods and a perspective buyer should pay attention to these details. As for this speed-o error, I think it’s a typo somewhere back in 1999, and I don’t think any previous owner changed the speed-o and tac because of all those little interior scratches and fading marks match the dash board vintage.
