Up for auction is this 2004 VW Jetta GLI that I am offering at a fraction of what it would cost you to purchase one elsewhere. The vehicle was recently purchased from an insurance company in Pittsburgh and was then delivered to me. Upon receipt of this vehicle I have cleaned it up to show any flaws in the photographs as well as inspecting the damage. The damage to the vehicle that caused the insurance company to total it is shown in the pictures provided. From my inspection I have found damage to the front and rear bumpers, passenger fender, both passenger doors and rear quarter panel. By assessing the damage to the vehicle it looks as though it side swiped a guardrail resulting in said damage. This is just what I have found and am in no way guaranteeing that this is the extent of the damage, but by my better judgment is what I have found to be wrong with the vehicle. This vehicle is a very easy fix and shouldn't be too much trouble to repair. The vehicle is being sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. This Jetta GLI came from the factory equipped with a 1.8 liter turbo engine and a 6 speed manual transmission. Factory body styling came in the effect of lower trim pieces on the front and rear bumpers along with side skirts on the rocker panels. Originally the vehicle came with 18 inch BBS RC wheels and currently has 3 out of 4 on the car. The front passenger wheel/tire was damaged in the wreck and the spare was put on the car to allow it to roll properly. Inside the car it is equipped with a a set Recaro seats that are in good condition. The interior is also accented by a set of aluminum trim pieces. The vehicle does run and drive. The engine runs as it should and seems to have been maintained correctly. There is a sticker on the radiator support indicating that the timing belt was replaced at 89,000 miles. The transmission shifts smoothly and all forward six gears along with reverse work properly. The clutch seems to engage properly and has plenty of life remaining. Shipping - Upon winning the item the buyer is able to either pick it up at my location in Shippensburg, PA or I am willing to deliver up to 250 miles for $1.25 per loaded mile. If the buyer decides to pick up the vehicle it needs to be done within two weeks after the end of the auction. If the buyer wants the vehicle delivered I will do so as soon as I am able to do so. Payment - A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required within 24 hours of auction end with the remaining amount due within one week of auction end.
