0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false You are bidding on a gorgeous black Lotus Elise with all the goodies!! Elegant, Sophisticated, Understated, and very James Bond. (yes, I said it) This car has only 17,000 miles and looks and drives incredible. This is a real head turner. About the car: I am the second owner. One of the things the first owner did was to change the cheap plastic louver fins to the black mesh, just like on the Exige. What a difference! Please take a close look!! This changes the ENTIRE LOOK of the car. There are three panels down in the front spoiler, two panels on the "hood" of the car, and four panels on the back. The plastic fins were a huge mistake by Lotus on the Elise model and they are the only thing that makes it look cheesy. The Exige model is fitted out with black mesh in the same places and it looks much more aggressive, much more stylish and much more elegant. This is the only Elise that I have seen with mesh instead of the hard plastic louver fins. It really makes the car look so much better and I chose it out of every other one, even newer models, just because of this! The first owner also installed an aftermarket high performance clutch and exhaust. The exhaust note is just incredible! It's a real growler. I made some upgrades myself. I had a dealer installed Katana supercharger put on by the Lotus dealer in Hopewell, NJ. Katana is the brand who makes the factory OEM superchargers for Lotus. This supercharger cost over $6,000.00. The car really rips with this on. It competes with the Exige now. But this is better, because you get all the speed and performance of the Exige, but with a back window. I also had a navigation, CD/DVD player put in. This unit has a built in 80G hard drive to install all of your music. It also has an Ipod connector, so you can play tunes from your Ipod, which is contolled right off of the radio. In addition, the unit and car is set up for bluetooth telephones and also for bluetooth audio. So your bluetooth audio device will stream music right through your car wirelessly! It's really quite amazing. As far as the audio side, the car has been retrofitted with four high end Boston Acoustics speakers, front and rear. The car also has a JL Audio amplifier, which runs the speakers, as well as the Custom fitted JL Audio subwoofer, which is mounted behind the seats in a custom made carbon fiber enclosure. You will see the amp and the Subwoofer in the photos. So even with the top off, you can get incredible sound out of this car. As far as looks, I added the 2006 LED taillights to this car. This alone cost me over a thousand dollars. The only difference between 2005 and later models is these taillamps, so this makes all the difference. Any other 2005 you see will have standard bulbs in the tallights. The car came factory with the StarShield protector or clear bra. It also has the touring package. The car has power windows, power door locks, and air conditioning. It also has the lightweight gorgeous black 17" wheels and extra wide, staggered fitment, low profiles tires, which were an additional option. You will also notice the center console and the climate control cluster is trimmed out in stitched leather, which gives a beautiful finish. Many of these cars have a plastic center console, which looks cheap. The car has a removable soft top that fits nicely in the trunk, still giving you room to stow other things. A new battery was also installed just a few months ago. The car also comes with a trickle charger. This car was garage kept. Everything works great and this is a 100% reliable vehicle. The car also has a built in radar detector, also factory installed, with sensors in the front and rear of the car. The only issues are minor. There is a minor scratch/crack on the rear bumper, which may or may not even show up in the pics. There was a chip in the windshield which spread into a crack. The crack is on the passenger side, so it does not obstruct the driver's view, but that may need to be replaced eventually. And the high performance clutch will need replacement soon. It is showing signs of wear. The performance clutches don't last long. Other than that, normal wear and tear, but the car just looks amazing overall. This car has never seen the track and was used as a recreational driver. Also, the rear tires are basically brand new. I bought them two months ago and have driven the car maybe half a dozen times since. I unfortunately lost my job, so I cannot afford to keep this car. I am hoping it goes to a new owner who loves it as much as I do. You can probably tell how passionate about it I am because I am going on and on. To drive this car is truly to love it. This car rivals Ferraris and Lamborghinis. This is just an amazing vehicle that gives me chills when I drive it.
