Hello everyone and welcome to my listing. For sale is a flawless museum condition 1996 HONDA CBR 900RR in a very rare factory Smokin' Joe's Yellow/Purple/White colorway. This has been my favorite old school bike right along with a 96' Muzzy Kawasaki Raptor. The goal of this build was to keep the motorcycle looks to resemble a factory 900, no ugly chrome or custom paint. To the untrained eye it looks completely stock but it is an absolute MONSTER. Let's start with the blueprinted motor: Cylinder head has been milled and polished with compression raised. No overbore stock 919 displacement. Two Brothers Cams with adjustable sprockets. UNI foam filters and modified airbox. Factory Pro jet kit 140 mains, Carbs are still factory Honda Keihin 38mm. Exhaust is a full Two Brothers 4/2/1 with Carbon round canister and Ti hanger. Two Brother's machined billet upper and lower triple clamps 5mm more trail for stability, big improvement over the twitchy stock set-up. Forks have been revalve with different springs and emulators. Braided brake lines(front/back) with HRC pads. Aftermarket Fox Shox racing twin-clicker shock at back. The swingarm has extra bracing/welds and custom bottom billet linkage for the monoshock(a very expensive kit part). Marchesini 6 inch rear rim with cush drive, front rim is PVM both wheels are Magnesium and made in Italy. Heavy duty clutch to handle extra power and torque. Aluminum radiator fan keeps engine temps cool. AFAM lightweight gearset 15/43 525 pitch with DID gold chain. It makes 134 RWHP,a huge improvement over the 109hp that this bike came with. Plus another 28 lbs. has been slashed-off in unsprung weight. More power can be gained with a 973cc overbore kit and Keihin FCR 41mm flatslides carbs with velocity stacks(around 153 at the rear with this combo). Downside is you will lose the awesome midrange this bike has, and reliability is compromised. Original owner has spent major dough to have these modifications done by licensed pro's, this was not a backyard hack job. Dyno sheets will be included with purchased along with a battery tender plus. Recent oil and filter was done with Castrol synthetic, I always run 93 octane fuel only. Idling it sounds menacing, full throttle it flat out screams. Thanks to Tadao Baba for engineering this cult classic. Concept was simple 'Total Control'. Speedometer was taken out by previous owner so is horn. When I purchased bike 8 months ago it had a touch over 5k and I have put less than 1K total. These are just close estimates.
