Vehicle Detail

1947 Dodge D24 2 Door Sedan We're looking to get a lake house so I'm selling my dodge to help the lake house dream along Pictures are here http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a286/krisstuart/47%20Dodge/ 6 cylinder flathead 230 engine, Fluid drive transmission option which is basically a manual transmission with a torque converter, you drive it normal like a manual stick but you can stop at lights without using the clutch, clutch is only used shifting between gears. Fluid drive was a neat option and a cool thing to have. This car is in decent shape and would make a great restoration start. It runs and drives and is currently insured and plated, i take it for drives on the weekends. Brakes have all been gone through with pads and new emergency brake linings. odometer shows about 70k but i don't know if its wrapped around or if its ever not worked so the mileage may vary. The guages all work even the heat guage and speedo. Pictures show an aftermarket heat guage but i've since replaced the original heat guage with a oem working one and gotten rid of the aftermarket guage. Car also now has a brand new original gas pedal not shown in the pictures. Car is still 6volt positive ground and hasn't been molested into 12 volt. Starts and runs nice. The floors are all solid and have been recently cut and patched in the few weak spots before i got the car. If i restored the car I would leave the floor patch panels as they are nice but i would probably redo the bracing underneath them to look more like factory but as it is the floors are solid. The drivers door window has a crack down the center of it but its still in tact and doesn't leak water. The antenna and cowl light are no longer there because I didn't like the looks of those two items. The cone airfilter has been replaced with a nice crome small paper element 1 brl stromberg filter and i also have the original oil bath can filter for it. Windows all crank up and down with no problem. The rear tranny seal and the pumpkin leak a little and i would probably fix those at some point if i kept it. The body is very solid and has a few places i'd probably fix but they are small and pretty easy. Car is also very complete as far as trim/stainless and knobs and such. This car would make an easy restoration or hotrod with not too much work and is a great car if your looking for a very complete unmolested start. You won't spend time searching for parts for this one. Hopefully i answered most of the questions but if not just shoot me a message. This is a great car and if we didn't want to buy a lake house i wouldn't get rid of it. It has a reserve and its very reasonable but feel free to make offers as long as they are reasonable.
