Vehicle Detail
This 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible is fresh out of 31 years of clean and dry storage. It is a restoration project as you will see in the pictures, but everything is there except the engine, hood and trunk emblems and wheel well trim. The engine was originally a 6-cylinder automatic with column shifter. There is a working transmission included (#725) which was driven just last month (engine only removed for other project car). The body is ALL metal which is slightly rusted as you can see in the pictures, but replacement is NOT necessary as simple patchwork will repair this. The frame is excellent and ready to be driven again! The convertible mechanism DOES work! The material will need to be replaced though. Even all of the hard-to-find trim around the convertible top is there! This is the perfect project car for any Barracuda fan! Only a few easy-to-find missing parts and ready to get this rare fish back on the road. Production of the 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible was only 2600!! VIN#BH27B8B379528 with only 95,800 miles. Even in Old Cars magazine this car is valued at $3000 in #5 condition and this is probably better than that! Reserve is way below that. If you have any specific quesitons feel free to email me or call me direct at 608-385-4684. Thank You! **NOTE: See over 60 pictures of the car here: http://s298.photobucket.com/albums/mm278/nedice/1968%20Barracuda%20Convertible/ All interior items, driveshaft, additional trim and pictured parts ARE included with the car. Car is sold AS-IS, it IS a project car with NO engine so it will need to be put on a trailer and or towed. Please ask any and all questions beforehand as your bid IS a binding contract for purchase and car IS described in full.
