Vehicle Detail

Beautifully Redone 1978 Suzuki GS750 EC. 1978 Gs750 beautiful restoration. Everything on this machine was removed and cleaned or replaced if possible. The only thing not removed was the engine. It has been repainted with factory reproduction striping kit applied. Side badges and engine emblems were replaced with new. The carbs were pulled, cleaned, rebuilt, synched, and tuned. Front end was disassembled, forks rebuilt and polished, steering stem bearings, replaced with tapered roller bearings, and grease fitting installed in neck for ease of maintenance. The handlebars are new factory style, the clutch and brake levers are new OE replacements, the mirrors are Emgo, and the grips are Progrip touring series. The front and rear wheels were stripped, repolished and then repainted with factory suzuki graphite paint. Seat was removed and pan was stripped, repaired and repainted then new factory replacement seat skin was installed. The entire lighting system was checked, connections repaired, signals front and rear replaced, headlamp replaced with new Silverstar bulb, taillight lense replaced with factory suzuki replacement. All the brakes were pulled, sandblasted repainted and rebuilt with new seals and new front lower brake lines. The rotors were removed, surfaced, repainted, and installed. The tires are new with maybe 200 miles on them. Ignition has new points and condensors as well as new NGK wire ends installed. All the engine covers have been cleaned and polished if done from factory. This motorcycle took four months from start to finish. It has a couple of flaws that I couldn't get a part or other. The paint has two imperfections in it. The first is a scratch into the stripe on left side of tank when the seat was installed. The second is an aireation in the clearcoat on the tailsection. Due to the cost of the stripe kit repainting was not an option. Also the exhaust system has a ding in the number four cylinder down pipe and scrape along the bottom of the right side muffler pipe connection shroud. These would have been replaced but at the time I could not find a suitable part to replace with, so I did my best to clean these as to maintain the appeal of the rest of the motorcycle. I am not going to tell you its spotless, nothing seldom is. I can tell you I have over $3700 invested in this machine. It runs amazing for its age. I have had several people ask where I found it, how long did it take to do, and how does it run. This a great example of a classic 70's motorcycle. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. This is labor of love for me. I redo motorcycles for the joy and the preservation of these classics. Please look at the photos and enjoy. I am located in Southeast Iowa. (319)-750-4403 please leave a message and number and I will get back with you as soon as I can. Thank You.
