Range Rovers are made in England--- Where the weather is iffy---cold and dreary--So this car has a aluminum skin for most body parts.The interior has Connolly Leather---the kind used in Aston Martin and Bentley. This car was and is the Best Off road luxury car in the world---with full time 4wd and a viscous coupling that senses when wheels slip.Range Rover also have a feature that is really a good idea---the car can be lifted and lowered for your needs--When I want to take my dog I lower it for an easy jump---when I see 12" of snow on road--push the button and entire car raises up so frame clears all snow. Everthing is power with lots of adjustments. The front and rear window have tiny wires embedded to heat glass real fast. When you tow a trailer to it and car sags due to tongue weight---it will sense this and relevel it self. The engine over heated and a cylinder slipped down and that 1 cylinder has lost compression--I had a land rover mechanic verify this by pulling head---The damage is limited to one cylinder and and not gotten worse or prevents car from use--check engine light is on due to the one cylinder does not burn fuel injected into it and causes light to come on like cylinder has a bad sparkplug.So now it runs fine but has lost power and runs a little hotter. I am currently driving every day--it idles and runs good--and gas mileage has stayed the same--13.5 in town. This occurred last November---so the fix is a new used engine or bore out 1 bad cylinder and put in new liner--plus piston.I have put on 2000 miles since initial damage.Range Rover is for sale locally.
