Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1989 Goldwing 1500 martini beige in color. I have owned this wing for over three years and I am the second owner of this bike. The first owner was as critical about maintenance and cosmetic apperance as I am. This bike has ALWAYS been covered even when in the garage, and it shows in the paint and the plastics. All the plastic components still look new. And the paint still has tons of shine left. This bike is loaded with all the critical touring accessories, and is TASTEFULLY done with chrome accents. We get compliments all the time when riding. Maintenance has always been done on time, with no expense spared. I like to travel long distance and would never take a chance of failure while on a long ride. My wife and I just got back from a weeklong trip in the Smokey Mountains aprox 1600 miles. We were having some charging problems, so when I got home I had the alternator removed, rebuilt, and reinstalled along with a brand new battery. The front brakes, and new fork seals were done fairly recently. I would get on this bike today and take off again on another long trip with no worries. The tires are still at 50% +- some people would say more but I like to be safe. I will include all available service records and receipts. Please note that the trailer is not included in this sale, but will be available in a seperate auction!! With all that being said, why am I selling it? I found a nice deal on an 1800 with matching Bushtec trailer!!!!! What a ride!! Please look at my long history on E-bay (aprox. 9years) and my 100% feedback rating. I have bought and sold motorhomes, cars, motorcycles, boats etc.... If this wing isn't as DESCRIBED you can walk away no questions asked! Below is a list of some accesories on the bike. I am probably missing some but this should help. I wont bore you with all the standard features. If your looking for a wing you already know!! Factory CB Rear speakers New style chrome rotor covers Chrome fork cover Chrome halogen driving lights Chrome windshield garnish Newer Slipstream windshield Chromed air gills Markland highway footboards Markland heel toe shifter with platforms Markland driver backrest with passenger pouch Markland passenger armrests with extention brackets Markland trailer hitch with chrome ball and chrome ball cover and wired with 6 pin round plug Chrome deer whistles Two piece Baker air wings Kuryakyn iso grips 12 volt power supply and mp3 input in left pocket Chrome radio knobs Chrome gas lid accent Chrome carb covers Upgraded lights on saddlebags and trunk, flashes with turn signals Chrome luggage rack and color matched non lighted spoiler on trunk Chrome licence plate garnish Chrome trunk handle B&G custom seat cover with rain cover: nothing wrong with stock seat. wanted cooler cover: see pics without cover B&G dash pad Owners manual and complete tool kit Hopnel trunk and saddlebag netting for extra storage: Rain gear etc.. Hopnel leather trunk organizer Audiovox alarm system with 2 key fobs ( not hooked up but pre wired) Ptt passenger control: with separate volume control Chrome kickstand extender Known issues: hand grips will need replaced before long, and the luggage rack shows signs of wear. The left side exhaust tip has some discoleration. One noteable blemish in paint: noted in the photo. There are some smaller paint specs here and there and a couple of scratches, but nothing major. This bike stands tall and still looks and rides great, but PLEASE remember this bike is over 20 years old, so dont expect a brand new wing when you arrive!! Like all other wings of this age group, if left on the side stand for days at a time it will push a little smoke on startup. I have tried to list the good and the bad with my summary and photos. As always I recommend coming and looking at the bike before placing a bid. If you cant come in person, ask all questions prior to bidding!! I can send more pics of certain areas of the bike if needed. And please dont bid on this bike if you cant pay!!! A $500.00 deposit will be due within 48 hrs. of the end of auction, the rest due before it can be picked up or shipped. I will work with your shipper if needed. All shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. This bike is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Good luck and thanks for looking!!!! Please note all stickers on the rear have been removed and the butler mug bracket will not be included, sorry.
