Vehicle Detail

Well, this one is going to hurt. Due to financial issues, I am forced to sell my mistress. I can’t tell you how many hours of shining, waxing, and fixing I have into this bike. I believe I am the third owner and it has never been ridden in the rain or on wet roads. Always kept in a climate controlled garage out of the sun, and the pics show it. It has low mileage for the year and it purrs like a kitten. Tires are at about half life and are Dunlops. I also put new plugs in fall of last year. It has a Superbrace on it, and lots of Kuryakn parts on. Color is Dynastic Blue with gray accent. No rust anywhere and it has never been down. AMFM Cassette, cruise control, on board compressor, reverse, intercom, and turn signal activated driving lights. See the list below for lots more extras I have put on. As one of the pics shows, the bike comes with new dust cover, Markland back rest, chrome luggage rack, full service manual, owner’s manual, original tool kit, trunk and side soft luggage bags, and a couple of Wing brochures from 1988. This is not your average 88 Wing. This bike has been extremely well-cared for. Just passed inspection last week, and I just got home from 300 miles on her with no problems whatsoever. Here is a list of the add-ons or new parts that I have put on since I have owned it along with the prices I paid for each: $28 chrome cam end covers $28 Kuryakyn chrome brake pedal cover $8 chrome valve stem caps $30 trunk and saddlebag mats (Wing Gear) $32 dust cover $38 new switch cover shelter $66 Kuryakyn driver pegs $5 new saddlebag molding clip $25 chrome fork cover $100 chrome rotor covers $106 new top shelter cover $104 chrome windshield garnish $61 new fuel filler door $83 new dash piece $135 new left side trunk cubby assembly $100 Kuryakyn highway pegs $35 new meter reflecting plate $170 Markland backrest $132 chrome trunk trim pieces (all 3) $65 Kuryakyn ISO grips $70 luggage bags – trunk and side $35 chrome fluid reservoir covers $10 chrome kill switch cover $10 chrome ignition accent ring $35 4 degree trigger wheel $15 chrome reverse lever cover $57 Superbrace $35 chrome ignition panel accent trim piece $35 chrome license plate area trim piece $40 chrome mirror edge trim rings $17 chrome two piece dash top accent set $16 chrome trunk key trim ring $25 new front fender emblem $35 chrome front fender extension $35 new fuel sending unit I also just had it into the local Honda dealer on 5/14/10 and had $910.00 worth of work done on it which included the following: -Installed 4 degree trigger wheel to advance timing. -Checked both timing belts and both looked real good. -Replaced front crank seal which was leaking. -Replaced shift shaft seal which was leaking. -Replaced fuel filter and air filter. -Changed oil and oil filter -Changed the shaft oil -Topped off the coolant -Fixed cruise control which was sticking and not working right. -Replaced fuel petcock assembly unit to fix fuel leak -Replaced thermostat switch which was bad and causing cooling fans to stay on all the time. -Fixed bad connection in reverse causing reverse to not work. -Fixed dirty switch in rear shock air up unit causing it to not work Total cost $910.00 There are a few very minor blemishes. One on the trunk near the lid line (see pic), and then the seat has a few small tears near the sides where the tank covers meet the seat as pics also show. Everything on the bike works as new except for the following two problems: 1. The fuel gauge reads full upon filling, but drops faster than it should and shows empty when you actually have about a third of a tank left. I have replaced the sending unit twice and the dealer also attempted to fix but we haven’t figured out the problem yet. The low fuel light works properly, however, so I have been keeping track of my miles and using the low fuel light to know when to re-fill. 2. The radio tuning switch only tunes up, not down for some reason. I suspect the switch is dirty and just needs to be taken apart and cleaned. TERMS: I reserve the right to end the auction early, as the bike is also for sale locally. Highest bidder pays US$500 deposit due within 24 hours of end of auction using Pay Pal. The balance is due within 7 days of end of auction in the form of PayPal or cashier’s check. I am in Syracuse, UT which is 40 miles north of Salt Lake Intl Airport.
