Up for sale is a very clean 1982 Chevrolet Corvette. For those of you that do not know, the 1982 was the last year of the C3 "shark" body style. This car only came with an automatic 4 speed transmission and was the only C3 that came from the factory with a 4speed auto. It was also the first corvette with modern computerized fuel injection (not counting the early mechanical fuelies!), known as the cross-fire injection for the dual throttle bodies. I will do my best to describe everything good and bad about this vehicle. FACTORY A/C,PW,PS,PL, PA(antenna). four wheel disk power brakes. Cruise Control! Everything works except the power door locks. Tjhe A/C blows cold but did require a can of freon. The system has been converted to R134a with all original compressor and everything else. NEW Brand New Firestone Firehawk tires with less than 100 miles Brand New Interior Carpet Brand New Rear Trunk (Cargo lid.. etc) Brand New Weatherstripping Brand New Steering Wheel Brand New Fuel Pump Brand New Fuel Filter Brand New heat/sound barrier installed under new carpet Brand New radiator Brand New battery The Car runs and drives awesome! It shifts nicely in all gears and there is absolutely NO hesitation at all at any rpm. The engine is computer controlled and has no check engine light or any known problem. I can not state enough what a pleasure it is to drive this car. Everything feels tight. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. The car sounds awesome with a nice rumble! Overall this would make a great daily driver or weekender. You would not need to do anything to the car but get in and drive. The car does not leak oil or trans fluid at all! With the fuel injection, I average about 17-18mpg on the highway. The interior is mostly brand new, carpet/seals/steering wheel. There is a two small tears in the drivers seat. There is a crack on the passenger side of the dash. Brand new dynamat type insulation was placed beneath the carpet and door pads. This insulation really made the vehicle much quieter. The car has a sony cd player with boston acoustic front and rear speakers. PAINT/Body I believe this is the original 28year old paint that was painted from the factory with a base coat/ clear coat. I would say this car is a five/ten footer with some places being really good and some not so good. There many very small chips and cracks. The front nose has a spider web crack in it. The rear spoiler like on most all vettes has waves in it. This is very normal on 80-82 cars. There is also a spot (spider web and crack) on the driver rear quarter panel that has a pretty good mark in it (see photos) The overall paint shines really well for its age!
