1955 thunderbird convertible that needs body work and extra parts to finish it. when I got the vehicle it came on 2 trailers and about 13 boxes.it was disassembled in a body shop and the shop owner passed away.it sat that way for 18 years. the frame was repaired on the right rear and was checked by another shop.it was welded and squared up correctly. I have replaced the upper and lower ball joints,control arm bushings,front suspension upper and lower bumpers,inner and outer tie rod ends and adjusting sleeves,idler arm bushings and sway control links and bushings front and rear gas shocks,rear spring bushings and shackle kits.completely rebuilt 292 V8 engine-polished crankshaft,new camshaft,timing chain and gears,camshaft,main and rod bearings,rebuilt cylinder heads.the engine was jet cleaned,treated and painted,rebuilt oil pump,water pump,and fuel pump,new distributor cap,rotor and wires.the transmission has been resealed and a new clutch and pressure plate.new universal joints and balanced driveshaft,pinion seal has been replaced and the differential has been refilled.new brake shoes front and rear,rebuilt wheel cylinders and master cylinder,new brake hoses and most of the lines.the dash was in pretty bad shape so it was modified to fit manual gauges.the speedometer was reset to 00000 and has a new speedometer cable. the hand brake cables are replacements that I got from ebay and work great.a few odd ball things are that the deck lid has never had a fuel door in it it has stamped panels from the factory with the latch assenbled there it releases with a half moon type of a solid wire that was hooked to the latch and then peened over it looks like factory assembly so the deck has never had a key lock in it.the glove box doeswn,t have a key lock or push button either,it had a spring on the support rod that kept it closed.I have the door power window regulators with no motors 1 of the door glasses is cracked.some of the other parts that I have but not installed are the upper and lower fan shrouds,battery heat shield,rear license brackets I also have the original seat that needs recovered.
