Vehicle Detail
Bike has original paintwork and chrome, good condition, but not show quality. No rust in tank, front fender has been modified to include stiffening similar to that what was used on later models. Seat is torn at the front. I am the fourth owner, the second owner confirmed the mileage to be correct, third owner did not get to ride it. Tires appear to be original. No evidence that heads have ever been removed Parts added by myself: New fork tubes, seals, bushes. All new cables. New coils and Boyer electronic ignition. New handle bars and rubber mounts. New brake shoes front and rear. New carb jets and needles. Bike is mechanically quiet and rides really good. I have too many other bikes, this has to go. Early September I will be travelling from Michigan to Davenport Iowa, then Springfield Illinois, then back to Michigan. I am prepared to transport the bike to anywhere on my route for a nominal charge. On Aug-21-10 at 06:26:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been questioned as to what I mean by 'nominal charge' for shipping. On the route described above, not deviating from the Freeway and on timing to suit myself between Aug 31 and Sept 6, I will deliver for $65 (a tank of gas). This suits my schedule of the Davenport vintage show and the Grand National racing at Springfield. For this to work, I would require guaranteed payment of the full auction amount, (Cashiers Check or Paypal) before I leave home. I plan on leaving August 31. The bike has a Michigan title, in my name, with no lein.On Aug-22-10 at 12:49:37 PDT, seller added the following information: A potential buyer has advised me that NE in the VIN number denotes the bike was manufactured in October of 1971. This could qualify it as 1972 model year, but since the title shows 1971, this is how I am selling.
