Vehicle Detail

1971 CHEVY 4X4 SUBURBAN Here is one super fine vintage Chevy Suburban. The truck is said to be correct as having just 88,000 original miles on it. It came from the factory with a 350 V8, Four Wheel Drive, Deluxe Overhead GM Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Front Power Disc Brakes, Positraction Rear end, Front Locking Hubs and the list goes on. The truck runs extremely well with no smoking or knocks at all. The four-barrel carburetor was just rebuilt last week and the transmission was totally rebuilt in July. Almost $1500 of work done, and yes you will get the warrantees and receipts on the work. The transfer case was gone through as well. The truck was just repainted and it looks good. It’s not a high end paint job, but not horrible either. It’s very close to the original color. Originally the top was white. I would repaint the top white for that “old school” original look. The body is pretty damn straight. I have only noticed one small ding that was not fixed up at the drivers side grill. There are some very minor rust issues in the floors but only in the front cab corner areas. (See pictures.) The truck drives very nice. Not all sloppy! The AC was said to be recently working but wouldn’t hold a charge for more than 30 days. The headlights work, horn doesn’t, wipers work, radio doesn’t. The turn signal switch is broken and the heater is disconnected as is the vent selector switches currently. The oil pressure gauge works, but the fuel gauge needle is jumping around and needs servicing. The glass is really in great shape throughout the rig. The driver’s side door glass is loose and will need servicing. The original seating has been up graded to modern suburban seats with a center console. The front seats are bolted down, the rear seats are not. I would find an originally set myself. But some people like the newer seats. The door panels are original and in fair shape in the front, but pretty nice in the back. All in all this is a very nice vintage 4x4 with some rare factory options. You can easily fly down and drive her home if you’d like. But she will need some light duty tinkering to be 100%. If you’d got questions, I’ve got answers. Please call Hawkeye before bidding at 808-205-8414. The truck is located in San Antonio Texas. Good Luck! PAYMENT AND STORAGE A $500 deposit is required from the winning bidder, due electronically via PayPal within 24 hours after the auction ends, to hold the vehicle. I will not be accepting trades. Respectfully, please bid responsibly by having any required financing in place before committing to purchase the vehicle as full payment is due within 7 days of auction end via cash or certified bank check (drawn on a major US bank). I can hold the vehicle for 15 days at no charge to the winning bidder after the auction (the charge is $15.00 per day after 15 days unless other arrangement made). I apologize in advance, but bidders with zero feedback will have their bids canceled, no matter what the amount, unless you contact me in advance of bidding. Bidders outside North America (anywhere other than the US, Canada, or Mexico “mainland”) are welcome to bid, but also must phone me before bidding.
