Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme in order to purchase a 50’ Mopar. The Olds is silver with a navy vinyl landau top. The interior is blue velour (it looks gray in the photos but it is blue). The car is totally original: paint, carpet, upholstery and headliner. It has never been restored. The body is rust free and the interior is in excellent condition, no rips or open seams in the fabric and no cracks in the dash. All of the lights, gauges and the wipers work as they should. The Olds doesn't use oil and there are no leaks. The original spare tire has never been on the ground. The mileage is 59,814 miles. People comment that the car looks good and they don’t realize it is an un-restored car. The car has the fuel saver 260 cubic inch V/8 engine and I get around 18 miles per gallon around town. If you are looking for a muscle car this ain’t it. It is equipped with a Hydramatic transmission, power steering and power front disc brakes, working a.m. radio, aftermarket 8-track player (with tapes and an adaptor for cassette tapes). Was Pa. state inspected through May of 2010 when I switched to antique plates. Was driven to Michigan and twice to central Pa. last year. On the negative side the steering wheel is starting to crack the vinyl top has some minor issues (no leaks) and there is some amateur body repair above the bumper by the left taillight required because the car slipped off the jack. As an original paint car there are areas of paint loss, touch up, nicks and scratches acquired over the last 34 years but the car still looks good. There is no air conditioning, cruise control or clock. I really do like this car but I grew up with cars of the 50’s. Olds Cutlass was the No.1 selling car in 1976 but has yet to achieve collector popularity so the reserve is not great. For those of you who grew up with cars of the 70’s or if you just like totally original cars this is one heck of a car for not a lot of money. HAPPY BIDDING On Aug-13-10 at 04:03:35 PDT, seller added the following information: The tires are 1 year old amd the battery is 1 week old.
