On Aug-15-10 at 10:22:20 PDT, seller added the following information: *I have received many questions about the paint, so here are a few answers for you. The car was taken apart to be painted, then it was re-assembled. That is why it looks so nice, even the door jambs and trunk inside have been painted in the orange gloss. The original color from the factory was Arctic White. The paint is a triple coat of PPG Urethane Chrysler Go-Mango Orange. Urethane is an "old school" auto paint that is thicker and much more durable than modern paint. It is also expensive. Looks beautiful. I will also give the winning bidder some extra paint for future touch-up and rock chips that may happen. Several of the black trim pieces have been replaced because the original ones had started to fade and curl at the edges. Although it is not a stock color, it was restored in a way to look as though it came orange from the factory. Many people repaint Mustangs and just paint over the trim and forget to do the door sills and trunk, but this is a quality job and looks fantastic. *The front left directional lens that is inside the front bumper is cracked but still works. You can't really tell unless you get right up to it and inspect it. I noticed the crack when I was detailing the car. *The vinyl armrest between the seats has a split at the top, I just haven't bothered to fix it, not bad but if you wanted to make the car mint, this is one thing you may want to give attention to. All in all, these are little things that you don't notice unless you really look up close at the car, but keep in mind it is 25 years old and cars from the 80's usually have at least a few issues, especially with the interior, as they were not made as well as 60's cars were. I am trying to be open and honest about all the cars faults, but if you see something in the pics and want to know more or see more pics, just let me know I will be happy to help! I do have a few more pics of the car and a few of the underside I can email to you upon request. Whoever wins this car will be very happy. You wont find another 85 convertible like this. It is a great Weekend Cruiser, Car for the Beach, or to drive to work on sunny Fridays (like I do). It seats four comfortably, and kids AND adults love it. The new top and paint alone is $3000 worth of parts and labor, and with the reserve as low as it is, you couldn't make one this nice for the same price.
