Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1969 RoadRunner 383 Auto from Arizona ! With Arizona Title. This car will make a great resto- car. Car has been in storage for the last 9yrs. Car was gone over so it could be started and moved to load on a trailer. Car had good compression, and tranny pulled without slipping. Plugs were replaced, and valve cover gaskets were replaced to keep the oil in durring the loading process. A separate container of gas was used, as to the gas tank will need to be dropped and cleaned before using. Car is a true 383 according to the vin #. I have not checked to see if the numbers are matching or not, but I do know the carb had been replaced. All of the body panels look to be originals, and the body lines all line up nicely. The car has very little rust in it as you can see by the pics. The previous owner sprayed a hit and miss of primer as to the color of the car. The original color of the car can be seen in the pic. of the trunk lid underside. The rear quarters fenderwells inner edge were cut off to allow for a larger tire to be run. The lower rear quarters have a very small amount of bubbling on the outside. The left side already had a small spot cut out already. I would replace both lowers. Floor pans are very nice, and the sub frame looks awsome as you can see in the pics. The trunk floor is complete, and not rusted out at all. At some point someone installed the wrong rear shocks on the car and cut a hole above each one in the trunk in which looks like they only had small hand tools. Good news is small holes, and a easy fix. The rims are also correct, and there is a matching spare in the trunk as well. Interior of the car has a bench front seat which was recovered with white. The rear looks to be recovered, but much earlier than the front, both need recovering. The dash has a in dash Tach, and as to the mileage it is unknown. There is also no head liner. When I purchased the car the drivers side window was broken. I have since purchased a original 1969 window glass to replace it, but it will still need a regulator. All other glass is intact. I'm not in need of selling the Runner, but I will be in the process of moving my projects to my new shop upon completion. So it seemed like a good time to down size from a few projects. If the Runner does not sell, I may relist, or just deside to keep it to complete a resto. Thanks for looking! I have this car listed locally, so if the car is sold before the end of auction I will end the auction early. Also, there are no warranties with the car as to the car is being sold as- is.On Aug-05-10 at 18:52:35 PDT, seller added the following information: ** For all who would like to know, here is the casting number off of the 383 engine. #24681308 which means it's a 383 B Happy Bidding...
