Vehicle Detail
New Page 1 Introduction: Ready to cruise into the sunset, this 1975 Cadillac Eldorado boasts a mere 47,000 original miles and multitude of luxurious options. Let's take a walk around this piece of American History and discover all it offers. Exterior: Drenching all of these classic lines is Commodore Blue Metallic paint that has got to be one of the finest colors Cadillac has ever put on a vehicle. The paint sparkles beautifully casting deep rich metallic shadows and highlights. The body of the car is in very nice condition, but not a 100 point perfect car. It does show some signs of use and age, evident by a few chips and scratches and a very small amout of checking, you probably wouldn't even notice it upon initial inspection. The scratches and chips have been color matched and repaired, sanded and buffed out to a point they are hardly noticeable. From five feet away the car looks absolutely perfect, but when you get up on the car you can see some of her flaws. There is no rust on the body panels and it is probably one of the nicest driver Cadillacs you will find. The chrome is in good condition, but it is original to the car and does show some hazing. The passenger's side rear outer piece does have a small bubble of rust peeking through, but this isolated to the outer piece that can easily, and cheaply, be replaced. All of the glass in the car is free from chips, scratches, cracks, or discoloration. The rear window in the top is the original glass top with the rear defrost lines. The top is in great condition with no major rips, tears, or stains. It appears to me that it has been replaced at some point in it's life, prior to my ownership. Interior: Open either door and step into absolute luxury and purposefully appointed accommodations. The two-tone, white and blue, interior blend masterfully with the Commodore Blue exterior, to create a absolutely perfect automobile. This car is loaded with options including: Power Windows Power Locks 6-Way Adjustable Seats Cruise Control (does not function properly) Tilt & Telescoping Steering Wheel AM/FM 8 Track Radio Power Antenna Auto Heat Control (AC does not work, compressor runs, but does not blow cold) Intermittent Windshield Wipers Remote Adjustable Mirrors Power Convertible Top Rear Window Defrost Soft Tonneau Cover (needs snaps sowed back on to attach to car securely) The door panels are free from cracks, peeling, stains, or discoloration. The carpet is also free from stains, rips, or tears. The front and rear seats are the original leather accommodations and do show some signs of age and use. I thought about replacing them, but could not bring myself to rip out the original leather. The new buyer may choose to do so and that would make the interior absolutely perfect! Mechanical: Bump the key and fire up the massive 500ci V8 engine. This engine has 47000 original miles and drives just like it does. It cranks up every time and idles and runs very smoothly. 55, 65, 75, 85,... Not a problem. At highway speeds it glides smoothly and is an absolute joy to drive. I have driven several cars and this is by far the best riding car I have ever had the pleasure of piloting. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and hits every gear in perfect time. The brakes bring everything to a controlled stop with precision and speed. Mechanical features this car boasts are... 500ci Cadillac V8 47,000 Original Miles TH425 Automatic Transmission Front Wheel Drive Power Steering Power Disc Brakes Front Power Drums Rear 4 Matching Mastercraft AS P235/75R15 Tires Original Stainless Cadillac Wheel Covers Original Owners Manual Original Owners Warranty Guide Cadillac Maintenance Schedule Cadillac Shop Manuals 8 Track to Cassette Adaptor Details: Thank you for taking the time to view this 1975 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible.
