Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1931 Ford Model A Coupe. This is a rumble seat car. This car was completely restored by the previous owner in the 90's, I have some pictures of the car in the restoration project, and the car looks like it was a very solid car to start. Body: 1931 Ford Model A Coupe, rumble seat. Henry Ford steel, except for the splash aprons which I believe to be steel reproductions. The body appears to be solid and straight, and looks very nice. It looks to have had patch panels installed in the lower rear quarters, and the lower wheel wells. The paint is nice, with a few imperfections, there is what looks to be a small repair on the driver side of the roof, the paint was roughed up where the spare tire carrier was, I hit the area with some spray paint just so there would not be bare metal exposed, but the paint does not match, there is also a crack in the paint about 4 inches on the bottom of the passenger door. Overall, this is a very solid good looking body, you would be proud to drive this car. Chassis: Stock Model A chassis. with mechanical brakes. I just installed a Posies reversed eye front spring to drop the front a bit. The wheels are 35 Ford 16 inch Wires (trim rings and caps included) Brand new Firestone Whitewall bias ply tires 700-16 rear, 550-16 front. Drivetrain: Professionally built 1932 Ford "diamond" B block. The block is bored. 060 over, counterweighted crank, lightened flywheel, balanced rotating assembly, pressure oil system, leakless water pump, adjustable lifter, custom grind cam. The motor is fitted with a Charlie Yapp Riley overhead valve conversion, Mallory distributor, two rebuilt Stromberg 81 carbs on an Equalizer manifold. Exhaust is a repro Model A style manifold with a Snyders high performance exhaust. The motor only has 100 miles on it since built, and it runs strong and cool. The car has no problem traveling at reasonable highway speeds and has plenty of power to be fun and keep up in traffic. The tranny is a B case with 38 ford internals, which is a major improvement over the original trans. Interior: The interior is very nice and complete. Very clean and great looking. This car is comfortable to drive. I am 6'3" and drive the car with comfort. The original motor and trans are included with the car, along with the hood, bumpers, spare tire carrier, and spare, this car could easily be taken back to stock if desired. In New York cars this old are not titled, they have a transferrable registration that acts as proof of ownership, your state will know about this and you will have no issues registering the car. The car is registered as a 31 Ford with the numbers matching the original motor ( not sure if the frame numbers match as they are under the body, but I was told by the previous owner that they do). The car is New York state inspected. I have tried to honestly describe this car. I encourage buyers to ask questions, and come take a look at the car if possible. Thanks for looking.
