Up for sale today: 2002 pt cruiser limited edition this vehicle has been a great running car for us and we hate to part with it however it is a fourth car for us and the wife says it has to go. The good: Has a leather/suede interior and sunroof cd player and all of the options that the limited edition of the model year has. This car has gone on numerous trips with no problems at all and we would drive this car anywhere. The car has factory tint windows, and @ 118,000 miles still plenty of life left. This would be a great first car for someone, or if you ever dreamed of really fixing a pt up with panels for the real old time feel this would be a great cost effective way to have a awsome show car for very little money. The bad: As you can tell from my feedback I belive in being honest and telling you exactly what to expect so here goes. This car has been in two minor accidents over its life 1.) A deer ran into the side of the car on the right hand side doing damage to both doors and the side of the car. As you can tell from the pics, the auto body shop did a great job in repair and you really can't tell. 2.) A stupid kid pulled out in front of us and the front end bumper and head light were damaged. Once again it certainly wasn't enough to come anywhere close to totaling it, and we took it to the same auto body shop, you can tell from the pics you really can't tell anything happened. As part of this problem the transmission really didn't shift right after this, so we took it to the transmission shop and bought a replacement for it, with less miles than the original had and now this car shifts great. Other issues: The driver side mirror is slightly offset, everything is still fine, works great but could use a different mirror @ some point this is not something that the average person would notice and doesn't effect driving, just something you should know. The rear passenger reverse lens has a small part missing, nothing the average person would notice, but would need replacing to be perfect. The hood has two small dents in it from where we went to the oil change place and they attempted to close the hood with the hood prop still in the hood hole, and left two small raises on the hood on the driver top left. These are noticable but not horrible. The car comes with all four original wheels, however this past winter we noticed that one would go flat, the back driver side, we put on two different tires before we figured that the wheel must have some kind of problem, what we don't know, however you get that wheel with the package so it could be something easily fix we just haven't looked into it. As to make sure you get home O.K. you get a $300.00 specially wheel, that is part of a set, but I wouldn't feel right about sending you home on a donut. This wheel and tire are good and would make a awsome spare! After taking to the shop before we sold it to make sure all was good to go, our shop told us the check engine light is coming on due to the car needing a O2 sensor, the check engine light stays on, however this is a easy enough fix for someone with the time to do it, I don't have the time. On ebay they are going for under $80.00 look it up if you want. The other problem is the airbag light is on, dinging sometimes, and then goes off. This is a very recent problem, we haven't taken it back to the shop for this, however before posting this we called and they said more than likely it is a airbag issue and not anything electrical, we don't plan to take it to the shop, because they said this is fairly common with pt's and normally a new air bag if needed is not a horrible price. Here again look it up so you can know exactly what's up if you need one. Other than these two minor issues, you have a great plum PT that will turn heads wherever you go. Please remember this car is as is with no warrenty either expressed or implied and @ this the low reserve price a great deal is had for you and I get the wife off my back!
