Factory BMW wheels finished in black really make it stand out from the rest She really is as clean as she looks! Blacked out kidney grilles...if you see this in your rear view mirror coming up fast, watch out! SAV or SUV or...Savvy? Roof rack holds plenty of cargo for those long relaxing camping trips Wheel locks are standard! Blacked out emblems and side markers As you step into an immaculate black leather interior, you find yourself surrounded with the finest materials available Montana leather upholstery and Poplar wood trim are abundant Interior looks like it has only 20,000 miles of use Full power seats with driver seat memory 6-speed manual...the only way to ride! None of this "steptronic" madness... Yup...that's an X5 with a manual...good luck finding another one like it. Did I mention only 2004-06 models have a 6-speed (2001-03 have a 5-speed) Cold weather package to keep your buns toasty on those cold mornings Did I mention non-smoker? Yep...those are reclining rear seats...last seen in BMW V12 models Side window blinds to keep your passengers happy Take a peek through a "tiny" moonroof... She's just barely broken in... Description email sweetsound2001@hotmail.com for any questions This is one of the nicest and rarest examples of BMW's SAV. This particular one has the rare and desired 6-speed manual for a true BMW enthusiast. The performance difference is staggering. The car is significantly faster that the automatic model, not to mention the fun factor of shifting your own gears! It also has the rare premium package with a huge panoramic sunroof and Montana leather, heated seats, xenon headlights and a rear climate package with rear door sun-blinds. Most of the other 6-speed models I've seen have the leatherette upholstery, which is nowhere near as nice as the Montana leather that BMW uses with the premium package. This is a one owner, non-smoker car and it was very well taken care of. Body is very straight and paint looks almost brand new save for a few minor rock chips. All of the exterior chrome trim has been blacked out for a very sporty look. Side markers are smoked and wheels are powder coated a very nice textured black, much nicer than factory finish in my opinion. I've had a chance to take this car on a recent camping trip, and it performed wonderfully. We loaded it up all the way and even the roof rack was utilized. 4 people in perfect comfort and as much gear as 3 passenger cars couldn't even take! All the X5 models have a reclining rear seat, which is awesome on those long trips. It honestly drives just like a brand new car! BMW had dialed in just the right amount of steering feedback and sporty handling. I've actually driven E53 X5 models with the sport package, and while they do handle a little bit better, the huge increase in suspension stiffness is not worth it. The ride of the sport model is very harsh, while this one handles well and yet does not disturb it's occupants. I wanted to make sure I enjoyed the car in perfect condition, so I replaced the lower control arms and all the bushings in the shifter assembly. I also flushed the transmission fluid with Royal Purple synthetic. 6-speed gearbox shifts nice and crisp now. The infamous clutch delay valve was also replaced in the process. This is a plague that most manual BMWs have from the factory...read more about it here: clutch delay valve. My mechanic went through the entire car, and these are only items he found that needed attention. The lack of necessary repairs shows just how well this X5 was taken care of.
