My wife and I purchased this 03 Passat with only 21,216 miles on it in 2006. For the last 4 years she's been the primary driver and predominately used it for her daily commute. 65,000 miles later, this W8 Passat remains in remarkable condition. The features/options list is long as I believe this car had every option available for the 2003 model year: I transcribed this list from the included original window sticker. I've noted areas in red that are potential issues, and areas in green that have been recently replaced or upgraded. We change the oil regularly, and I always make sure it has a good coat of wax. The paint is in excellent condition with only two significant scratches. Both are on bumpers, one rear and one front, and I've included their mugshots. Honestly I rarely notice them unless I'm hand detailing this beauty. The mileage is appropriate for it's age, and as I mentioned before, at least the last 65K belong to my wife's highway work commute. It is an absolute beast in the rain and inspires extreme confidence regardless of the amount of water on the highway. It rides like new, handles like new, and has been extremely well maintained. If you've been hunting for the right W8 Passat, you've finally found the one. There were approximately 2,044 W8 Passats sold in the entire US in 2003, and of those, only 242 others were sold with these options. In our four years of ownership my wife and I have only seen one other W8 Passat in the Houston Area. The Bugatti Veyron is essentially powered by 2 VW group W8 engines mounted together to create a W16 quad turbo monster that puts out 1001 hp! This will be the first car I've sold on eBay, and I understand that without any positive feedback I may have to work a little harder to earn your trust. Passed TX safety/emissions testing last month. Seller will handle the title transfer The minor accident reported to Auto Check was a mystery to us. In 2008 we were having trouble with the A/C and closer inspection revealed that something had bounced around under the car and messed up the plastic undercarriage shields and some of the A/C lines. The shields were replaced as well as all of the effected A/C components. No lingering issues from this event.
