Vehicle Detail

1970 Buick GS This Buick GS-350 is 1 of 8,840 built. There aren't very many left on the road and it always gets attention. This car is a very original survivor with the only major change being the transplant of a new 455 a few years ago. The original numbers matching 350 engine is included in the auction. Well equiped with bucket seats and center console, guages, power brakes, power ventilation, sport steering wheel, rallye wheels, rear sway bar, posi, factory tinted glass, dual exhaust etc. Runs and drives great but could use a little carb tuning for optimum performance. It is faster than most of the stuff out on the street! The man I bought the car from said he was the second owner. The left rear quarter panel was scraped down a fence when the car went sideways in 1994 and was parked until I bought it 3 years ago. The car came with a pair of used very nice quarter panels from a 1970(?) skylark, he was planning on doing a complete restoration on the car but never got to it. When I bought it I put the quarters in storage and drove the car as it is because you so rarely see an unrestored muscle car driving around in this kind of original condition. The interior is very nice for its age! The radio doesn't work, but is also very nice. The body is in good restorable shape except as mentioned with the quarters and the trunk pan will need replaced if you are restoring it. The ram air hood is in great shape with one small dent at the front. The ram air components are intact. You will have to pick up the car unless you have a way to get the car and quarters/original engine shipped. I would have no problem driving it anywhere, but that is up to you. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hrs of auction end. The remaining balance is due within 7 days and the car must be picked up within 14 days of the auction's end. Any questions feel free to ask. Sold as is where is. This car is also for sale locally, so the auction may end early. On Aug-09-10 at 16:45:48 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to a couple questions: The original motor was pulled because it was tired and smoked a bit, it should be perfectly rebuildable. The number stamped on the block is 370Z117343. It has everything from the intake to the oil pan, both exhause manifolds, balancer to the flex plate, including distributer minus dist cap. The vin number on the car is 434370Z117343 As of a few minutes ago I found out the vin on the title is missing the fourth digit (#3) and reads 43470Z117343, it should be 13 digits, but is only 12. I contacted the Dept of Licensing and they said it was their error and has been in their system that way since 1992 when they transferred the info into their computer system. They said it was their fault and it can be fixed with a free state patrol inspection, they said this is common and painless. The DOL said either I can have it done or the new buyer can do it, it takes about 15 minutes. If I do it, the winning bidder will have to wait for the new title to come to me before I can send it to them (6-8 weeks). If the new buyer does it, the title will come directly to them. Option 3 is do nothing. It has been this way for 18 years, so it will be up to the winning bidder. You can call (509) 534-6022 during daytime hours to verify this info. The state patrol inspection building is located 7 minutes from where the car is located.
