Vehicle Detail

Black 2002 Honda Accord SE, 2 Door Coupe 2002 Car and Driver "10 Best" One Owner, living in the south east only, has only seen snow once in 9 years! Brand New Set of Tires as of February 2010 Maintained on a regular basis by Stokes Honda AAA in North Charleston, SC Continues to drive great (although PLEASE READ the issues below) Great gas mileage: 23 mpg city, 30 mpg highway (estimated) 4-Cylinder, VTEC 2.3 Liter Engine Few vehicles over the past three decades have garnered as much respect in America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this by being sporty, glamorous or sexy. Instead, it has, for every year, offered what most Americans want out of their daily transportation. Take an Accord for a test-drive, and you'll find it comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. Research it, and you'll find it backed by a solid reputation for reliability, a strong resale value and an emphasis on safety. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well in all of the categories that people expect a family-oriented sedan or coupe to cover, not just a few. When examined from a holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why this Honda car has become an automotive icon and one of our editors' top recommendations. This is a ONE OWNER car, bought new. Car is sold to the best of my knowledge, but is absolutely As-Is, with no warranties expressed or implied. Please read carefully, look at all the pictures, and ask questions - eBay is NOT a game, your bid is a LEGAL and BINDING contract. Starting bid one freaking dollar, ABSOLUTELY NO RESERVE, the way eBay was meant to be - this car will sell for actually what it's worth, not what I think it's worth, there is no buy-it-now - just bid the most you'd pay for this and you'll either win it or not. Look at my feedback and bid early and often. If this car had no issues, it would be worth over five grand, based on Kelly Blue Book Private Party value: http://www.kbb.com/used-cars/honda/accord/2002/private-party-value/pricing-report?condition=good&id=4155&equipment=161114%7ctrue%7c161142%7ctrue&mileage=172901 Now for the bad: Known Problems: Paint is peeling off badly on many spots, very common of black cars of this era (look at the pictures). Brake light stays on due to crack in one of the taillights allowing moisture to get inside the light and short the bulb, does not affect brake lights or running taillights. Most importantly - this car has recently developed a cooling system problem -- took to mechanic who was unsure of the exact problem and recommended a pressure test and possible new radiator fan motor. Car starts and runs great; it is absolutely not a car that I’d trust to take on a long trip until the cooling system is fixed. Any questions - call or text me, Mark, at (843) 367-4663 ( or even send an email to my personal email address mshayda@vt.edu ) - a phone call will get to me a lot faster than asking a question through eBay, and I want this to be as smooth and painless a transaction as possible. Thanks and happy bidding! On Aug-05-10 at 09:34:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been getting a lot of questions about what is wrong with the car. Again, the windows, A/C, stereo, steering, brakes are all in good condition (particularly considering the age and mileage of the car). What is NOT in good condition are (in order of importance): 1) The cooling system (radiator fan motor?) 2) paint (see pictures) and 3) taillight lens. You could fix the radiator fan motor (or whatever it is), get a $100 MAACO paint job, and fix the taillight with a lens off eBay and then the car would be as good as some of the CPO cars I've seen on Honda lot. If you'd like, you can call AAA car care in Mount Pleasant (the company that assessed the cooling system) and talk to them. I'm sure they can look it up by VIN.
