Up for sale is a great example of the Mark 1 Mr2. It's a very original vehicle with only a few minor changes. The car lived the majority of its life in a garage being very well cared for. If it got taken out, it was covered with a car cover. The paint on this car is amazing to say the least. The original red paint still retains all of its original badging and pin-striping. This car gets a lot of compliments from other Mr2 owners about its looks. The car will come with the car cover. The cover is custom made to fit the MR2 and is not a generic one. The interior of the car has taken a bit of wear over the years and it shows to an extent. The original leather is worn but definitely still has good life left in it. The entire interior is in place and there are NO pieces missing. The car has electric doors and windows that still work and the doors can be opened by remote. The car also has a sunroof that pops open to allow ventilation. Many will see the mileage and become wary of buying this car, but the engine in this car was recently changed with another one from Japan. It is the exact same motor and will pass smog without issue.The body has 271xxx miles while the engine has only 70xxx. The engine itself was put in only a few months ago so it is still very fresh. There are very few changes on this car. One is that it has an entirely new sound system. It has a Sony deck, an Altec Lansing Crossover, a Sony amplifier, Sony Dash speakers, and a Blaupunkt 6x9 running as the bass. Overall this system is a huge improvement on the stock system. The entire system is very professionally installed and is virtually unnoticeable. The only other change are the chrome rims it is currently sitting on. They are lightweight rims and have a tasteful look that sets this MR2 apart from the rest. Recently, there has been:A coolant changeA new 02 sensorA new set of brakesA new air filterA new AlternatorA new Catalytic Converter As with any car of this age, There are a few bad things to mention.1.The biggest thing to note is there is a small dent at the Front of the car on the driver's side. It is the size of about half a golf ball. It was from a slow parking lot tap by the previous owner. The paint on the dent is still in great shape. I just don't have the guts to pull the dent out and risk the paint. I'm sure any body shop would have a very easy time taking it out though.2.The plastic piece that sits between the light socket and the bumper are a little bent with age. These can be bought at Toyota from the parts department but have to be ordered.3.The front rotors could stand to be resurfaced but do not affect the ride. 4. The car has the entire a/c system installed but will need a fill.
