In 1992 Chevrolet built 589 Camaros with the B4C package. For those who don't know the B4C package was built for and to be sold ONLY to police agencies for use as a high speed pursuit car. To get one of these special Camaros you had to be a government agency, know someone, or in the case of this car be in the right place at the right time. This car, along with a few others were ordered by Central Chevrolet in Fremont, California were under the premise of filling a government order which really never existed. Central Chevrolet ordered these cars loaded (with many options rarely seen on B4C's) and in different colors and sold them to the public. Eventually Chevrolet caught up with Central Chevrolet and I was told they were sanctioned for their actions.The B4C package contained items not available in a regular production Camaro and some items from the 1LE package. Nearly all of these B4Cs were used for the purpose intended and were used HARD while in service, to find one never in service and in great shape is very rare. This particular Camaro was purchased off the showroom floor brand new by an older lady, Lillian. who didn't care about the performance but liked the Dark Teal Metallic Exterior and the custom interior. Lillian babied the car, putting only 34,000 miles on it in 15 years. With 36,000 miles on the Camaro now, that works out to 2,000 miles per year!!! The Camaro was regularly serviced at Central Chevrolet and I have a printout of work done there verifying the mileage. Lillian went so far as to put a dash cover, seat covers over the seats and floor mats ON TOP OF the factory floor mats on when the car was new. She also had personalized plates with her name on them. The car is in amazing condition inside and out, the rims look like new (normally the clear coat is deteriorating ), the paint looks great and the interior is amazing. The steering wheel has all the graining which is usually worn off and all the surface are like new. Lillian was having the car serviced at the dealer when one of the employees asked if she'd ever sell it, a short time later he bought it from her. He only had the Camaro a short time when I bought it from him over two years ago. The car has been in my collection ever since and I've only put a few thousand miles on it, mainly to shows. Although I'm a dealer this car have never been for sale before and will not be again, this is it's only time on Ebay. The Camaro has a current smog certificate and has been in my inventory so there are no back fees due. In 1992, Chevrolet built 589 Camaros with the Special Service Package (RPO Code B4C). This package was essentially a Z28 badged as an RS. It included the options from the 1LE package but with air conditioning, which was unavailable on a 1LE. The B4C's had dual-converter exhaust, 16-inch aluminum wheels, 4-wheel disc brakes with Corvette-style front calipers, engine oil cooler, 145 MPH speedometer and special suspension. The B2L 5.7 245 HP Liter Tuned Port Injection engine was only available on a B4C or Z28 Camaro. This Camaro is also equipped with the very rare and unusual D27 Locking Rear Storage Cover. In 1992, only 103 TOTAL Camaros had this option, making it even more rare to be on a B4C Camaro. The car is like-new and looks like brand new, it really is in amazing condition and would be an excellent addition to a Camaro collection or museum. VEHICLE REGISTRATION, SALES TAX, SMOG, FEES, ETC: We are a licensed California auto dealer. The state requires that if you're out of state and plan on coming here to pick up the vehicle, you need to know that California law REQUIRES the buyer to pay sales tax, registration, and smog fee's if they pick up the car and drive it away. This is still the LAW even if you put the car on your trailer and it never touches the California roadway. If you're out of state, avoid can avoid all of these required fees by having your car shipped to your state. This in most cases is less expensive anyway by the time you figure gas, lodging, and other expenses. If you're an out of state buyer but picking up the vehicle and driving home, we can reduce the state required registration to a $16.00 one trip permit, but the other fees will still apply. If you are a California resident, we collect sales tax, registration fee, and a $58.25 smog inspection fee. We then provide you with temporary registration in the window so you can legally drive the vehicle until your title and license plates arrive in the mail. This SSR has been in our inventory so there are NO BACK DMV FEES OR PENALTIES DUE. All sales require a $55.00 DMV and paperwork fee. On Jul-31-10 at 07:16:16 PDT, seller added the following information: We just noticed that the Autocheck is wrong on two issues: The car does not have TBI, it is a Tuned Port Injection The car was not in an accident in 12/2009. From October of 2009 to April of 2010 the Camaro was stored in my warehouse and never moved. I've owned the car since April of 2008 and it's never been damaged. These are just two of the many mistakes I've noticed over the years with Autocheck. Buyers are advised to take all their reports with caution. I'm attempting to contact them regarding this report.
