Vehicle Detail
This is a beautifully restored and always unmolested 1967 Jeepster Commando. I am listing this at the absolute lowest price I can take for it as is I am already losing money on it. It is well worth $10,000 in it's condition and with the extra accessories included, at this price it's a steal and a rare jeep to boot. I can not take trades and I will not consider offers that are in line with what you would pay for a rust bucket with no engine. If you are interested, call, I am very easy to work with. _______________________________________________________________________________ There is a ton of pictures available here: http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/4011408/1/commando?h=f04d7e And some short videos here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBW8rlX5pYc and here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QnGsBqpi3c here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZMRE1NF1NU here too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsJPTat32N8 ____________________________________________________________________________________ Under the hood you will find a rebuilt and updated Dauntless 225 Oddfire, rebuilt T-86 3 speed transmission and a refreshed and well cared for Dana 20 t-case. All of which have about 5000 miles on them. Too keep the sun off you a Kayline softop is installed. Also included is the restored original half cab pickup hard top and rear rhino-lined bottom piece (extremely rare) which only needs it's rear window (also included) installed. I am including new wind rubber for that as well. I bought this jeep about three months ago for $8500. Prior to me it was owned and cared for by the same person for 10 years. I was hoping to keep this one a while, but my living situation had suddenly changed and I find myself needing to sell it. This classic jeep is currently on display at Xtreme Jeep in Tampa ( http://www.xtremejeep.com/hoursofoperation.aspx ) where you are welcome to stop by to have a look at it during their normal business hours without needing call first, they have the keys so it can be started or test driven. The clear Florida title is in my name, they are only housing the Jeepster for me because where I live the parking is limited. This Jeep is in fantastic restored driving condition, built by an enthusiast in the area that has done several other amazing jeep restorations. As you can see, there is NO RUST on this thing. The 1 year old paint is shiny and freshly waxed. There are no dents or body damage. If there ever was rust on this, the sheet metal has been replaced properly- no bondo. The quarter panels and rockers are all great. No rust in the underside or firewall, door bottoms or tailgate as was common on these. The entire inside floor and walls have been rhino-lined as well as the seat brackets and several other pieces inside to keep it durable, usable and rust free. The bumpers and dash were painted with paint that is suppose to make it look hammered. The front seats have been professionally reupholstered and the rear seat is in original great condition. There is a new dash cap installed with no splits. The sun visors are great. New weather-stripping and rubber has been installed throughout the jeep, so there is no cracking or leaking weather seals anywhere. Windows and wing windows function just as they should. The doors shut nice and are not misaligned. All chrome is either new or great surviving pieces with no rust or pits. All lights, gauges and accessories work. Wipers have two speeds, as well as the blower motor, the two speaker radio works, along with the blinkers, lights, brights, tag light. The gauge cluster itself has no lights, they need to be hooked up properly- but all that is necessary for it to be safe and legal on the street works. The Jeepster could use a new break light switch, and a new dimmer switch and possibly a new tail light socket. They are readily available from several Internet parts retailers for just a couple of dollars. Believe it or not, there are no fluid leaks except for a small seep at the drain plug. No play in the rear end or drive shafts. Rebuilt front end with urethane bushings. You will be amazed at how quiet this thing is when it runs! Absolutely no smoke, knocks, pings or anything. The transmission shifts sure and the clutch is perfect. 4x4 Works great, fresh wheel bearings and springs. It gets up and goes too!! I have driven it on the highway at 65+mph with no complaint from the drive line. The exhaust manifolds have been ceramic coated, the dual exhaust is new and mellow with rear side turn down pipes. There is a new radiator, new break lines, new breaks, new clutch and pressure plate, new tie rod ends, new center link, drag link and bell crank, as well as a ton of other stuff new or rebuilt over the last 10 years. I have receipts for most of the stuff over that time period, as well as a factory service manual, parts lists and a bunch of memorabilia. As mentioned- this Jeepster also comes with the original half cab pickup hard top. Also included is a spare chrome bumper, and several boxes of spare parts, cables, switches, ect.. There are also spare windows and photos of it before the restoration. There is also a can of paint and sealer matching the Jeepster (I had planned on painting the dash to match the jeep), this includes paint codes. ________________________________________________________________________________________ If you have any questions at all, please call or text 813-505-2460 anytime. Leave message if no answer, I'll get back asap. CHECK MY FEEDBACK, I have sold other cars on ebay, bought a lot of them here too, bid with confidence! For those that have asked: I would not hesitate to drive this jeep home to where ever you live in the US, it is strong and reliable. The hard top would need to have the rear window installed and be put on the jeep or the top shipped. It is currently in my storage unit and can stay there for a while if need be. $200 down within 48 hours of auction end, payment or arrangements made within 7 days. Alternate arrangements or allowances can be made, please contact me prior to auction end if needed! Thank you!
