1969 Dodge Super Bee What you are bidding on is a 69 Dodge Coronet Super Bee clone. This car was born a black plate California 318 Coronet with air. The car was manufactured and purchased in Los Angeles, CA. The car remained in California until the early 2000’s when the elderly lady original owner passed away. A gentleman in Arkansas was notified by his father that his old childhood neighbor had passed away and the Coronet would be for sale. He went back home and picked the car up and brought it back to Arkansas. The car was completely taken off the frame and painstakingly restored. The original 318 was replaced by a date correct Mopar 440 Magnum 4 barrel with a 3 speed automatic and air Once the car was completed it was driven to several national mopar events all across the country. That’s right….driven…not trailered. Window decals validated the trips and are proudly displayed for all to see. This a solid car and can be driven anywhere at any time. The car steers, handles, shifts and rides perfect. The transmission shifts crisply and has tons of torque and power. The A/C blows cold even in hot humid Louisiana. All bright work is original and in great shape. The engine and bay area are color correct for 69 and clean/perfect. Exterior paint is a period correct “shag” green metallic with lacquer coated clear. Paint is a solid 8 in my book. Only a few hard to find imperfections to find. The interior is all new and perfect. All lights, gauges and electricals work as they should. The original factory am/fm radio does turn on and light up, by the reception is poor and sound quality is worse, but it is original. After market wheels and tires set off the “retroMod” look of this great car. It really grabs attention. The car has never seen rain or night fall in my possession.
