Up for sale is my 1991 BMW R100GS with low original mileage. Being sold as is. I believe I'm the third owner. It's served me well as an occasional commuter for the past four years. I had a certified BMW mechanic go through this bike when I initially bought it and he has serviced it every season since. My approach to maintenance and repairs was for the mechanic to treat my bike as though it was his own, investigating and fixing any known issues with stock parts while performing all scheduled maintenance. Service records are available. Garage kept. No known issues and ready to ride home. Has been laid down once by previous owner leaving small scraps on the right hand guard and engine guard, minor in my opinion and didn't detract from the overall good condition. Otherwise the bike looks and runs excellent. Dunlop tires are in good condition, front 80% tread remaining, rear 50%. Original cases which proved to be extremely practical for me and functioned great while looking good and completing the bike's look. The left case holds a full sized helmet, great for out of sight and weather storage. The cases lock both on the bike and closed and can be removed. New windshield and heated grips from BMW and stock for this bike. The two stage heated grips are controlled by one of two spare accessory switches this bike has, well designed and unobtrusive. New Stainless Keihan full exhaust out of the UK, high dollar and maintain what I feel is the original sound. The exhaust will outlast the bike. This bike also has a stock 12V accessory plug. Newer Westco battery. Also has Hyper Lites placed on an aluminum bracket beneath the license plate, bright LED brake lights that are set to give an un-annoying quick flicker when the brakes are applied, then go to a bright constant after a few seconds. Also has yellow running LED turn signal running lights placed within the signals to help with recognition by oncoming traffic. I also installed wider foot pegs for a more solid feel underfoot. Maintaining the original look while increasing safety was my goal. This has been a fantastic bike and will be missed. Good luck.
