You are looking at a real classic; a first generation Honda Civic. This 1977 Civic is in very good shape considering most first gen Civics in this area completely rusted out within one year of driving off the dealer lot. This one is pretty sound; it looks to have been under coated and rust proofed back in the day. That’s probably why it’s still in one piece. I purchased this Civic about a year ago from a coworker who needed to sell when he took a job in New York City. He could not take the car with him so I took it with the thought of getting it going again. The guy I bought it from told me that about six years ago he was driving the car every day and one day pulled it into his garage and parked it. It never moved again until the day I pushed it out to place on a trailer to bring home. So it has not been started in six years. I have pulled the plugs and turned the engine over with a wrench and the engine spins freely. I have yet to go through the proper procedure to get it started or gotten around to doing any other work on the car. So keep in mind that if you buy it you will have to trailer it home because you can not work on it in my garage or on my property. This Civic does not have a muffler; the exhaust pipe rusted out just ahead of the muffler. Also much of the emissions equipment (air pump and such) under the hood is gone. Look over the pictures you will see this is not a bad little car. The black colored stuff you see under the hood is rust proofing; the rust colored stuff is rust ;) though it’s mostly surface rust. The interior as you can see is in great shape. Included with this Civic is one ignition/door key (I don’t have a key for the rear hatch), an owners manual and a shop manual. This is a no reserve auction so if you bid you could win. This item is sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied, and no return or refund. Please do not bid unless you can pay in full within 7 (seven) days of auction end. If you are the high bidder you must pay a $100.00 deposit via a single PayPal account within 48 hours of auction end. The title is in my possession and clear. Form of payment for the balance (within 7 days of auction end) must be Cash (preferred) or Cashier's Check (certified from US bank) or US Postal money order or PayPal plus three percent to cover fees. No personal checks or any other forms of payment. Local pickup is required. If you would like to arrange shipping at buyer’s expense I will help in any way I can.
