Vehicle Detail

1966 TRUIMPH CHOPPER I bought this as a project, and I haven't had the time to work on it. It is a 1966 triumph that has been chopped and raked. It's about 9 feet long, with about a 30 inch seat hight, hardtail, with a shock mounted to the seat. The frontend is a springer that came off a 69' harley chopper, long and raked. The tank is 30'' long, and painted hammered copper. The rearend is said to be off a 69' harley, and it has a see through fender. The frame has been cut, extended and raked. Side mount plate, and custom made bars, with a wrench for the kickstart. It's definitly uniqie and original. I bought this with high hopes of making it a barhopper, and to take to shows. The reality is that I don't have time or the room. This is why the project came to a hult. The guy I bought it from never did any of the work and knew nothing about it. When I brought it home, it had no spark. I found that someone changed it from points to coil ignition and changed it to a 12 volt system. This was already passed my point of expertice. I replaced the coil, and took off the toogle switches, and installed a key switch, and put on new plugs and wires. I also redid the wiring on the the front half of the motorcycle. The motor has good compresion and of course a kickstart only. I had it running a few times, but just for a couple seconds at a time. I tryed to advance the timing, but again, I don't know much about these things. The motor has good comprestion, and is complete with no broken fins. It has linkage to make it a leftside shift, right side brake, and a chain driven jackshaft. No front brake. Title in hand. Also a Haynes owners manual. This is an awesome looking chopper, low mean and long. If your lookin to have a badass chopper, with that anitque and uniqie look, without the high price, look no futher. Thanks for looking and even more for bidding.
