This Timeless Classic Galaxie 500 Fast Back is presented in the age old period correct Antique Bronze Metallic is highly complimented with a custom “Old Skool Kustoms” One of a Kind Interior. This 1966 Galaxie 5000 Fastback started its life as a typical family car that sported the very economical and conservative 240 C.I. V6 but since has been given a very expensive second chance of life, refitted with a 390 C.I. “Z” Code Motor completely and professionally rebuilt and enhanced with bored 30 over, with an Offenhauser intake with Dual Quad Carter AFB Competition Series 650 CFM Carburetors. In addition this engine was re-engineered with Dove Adjustable Valve Train and Forged Pistons and compition cam and bearings. The ignition system was also upgraded to a Mallory Magnetic Electronic Ignition and Hot Coil system. You will also witness a very nicely done engine dress up kit that include Cobra Lemans Finned Valve Covers and a Ford Performance Duel Quad Aluminum Air Cleaner Setup. The exhaust system was also enhanced with a very healthy sounding and free flowing set of Hooker Headers that flow into a true dual exhaust thru a pair of a very throaty sounding set of glass pack mufflers. All this performance is transferred by a fully rebuilt C4 Automatic 3 Speed Dual Range Transmission and finally back to a Rear Axle Ratio of 3.00 to 1. As you will witness in the following photos is a very well done and truly One Of A kind 1966 Galaxie 500 Fast Back. The paint and finish of this car is spectacular in all areas and the bodylines are laser straight. The Custom Interior is compliments of the very special work done by “Old Skool Kustoms “ In Monticello Minnesota who are famous for top quality and only ‘One Of Kind” Interior make overs. Take a look at the special Diamond tucked 2-Tone Seats and Door Panels along with the Custom Dash Kick Panels, Floor Mats and Seat Belts that put this interior way over the top. The Head Liner and Carpets are 2nd to none and that Very Sexy Hula Dancer in the Rear Package Tray is a Collector Item all by itself and the extra gauges and Tachometer are nice to have as you monitor what’s going on with levels of the engine. The overall condition of this 1966 Galaxie Fastback is well above average in all areas. All chrome bright trim, Grill and badgeing are in near show condition and along the way this Galaxie has collected numerous trophies where ever it has shown up to be judged against its peers and will only collect more for the next lucky owner at any cruise night or local car show that it arrives at. This 1966 Galaxie 5000 Fastback started its life as a typical family car that sported the very economical and conservative 240 C.I. V6 but since has been given a very expensive second chance of life, refitted with a 390 C.I. “Z” Code Motor completely and professionally rebuilt and enhanced with bored 30 over, with an Offenhauser intake with Dual Quad Carter AFB Competition Series 650 CFM Carburetors. In addition this engine was re-engineered with Dove Adjustable Valve Train and Forged Pistons and compition cam and bearings. The ignition system was also upgraded to a Mallory Magnetic Electronic Ignition and Hot Coil system. You will also witness a very nicely done engine dress up kit that include Cobra Lemans Finned Valve Covers and a Ford Performance Duel Quad Aluminum Air Cleaner Setup. The exhaust system was also enhanced with a very healthy sounding and free flowing set of Hooker Headers that flow into a true dual exhaust thru a pair of a very throaty sounding set of glass pack mufflers. All this performance is transferred by a fully rebuilt C4 Automatic 3 Speed Dual Range Transmission and finally back to a Rear Axle Ratio of 3.00 to 1.
