Vehicle Detail
THIS IS WHAT APPEARS TO BE A COMPLETE MOTORCYCLE. IT HAS GRACED MY GARAGE FOR MANY YEARS WITH ONLY THE SEMI ANUAL TAKE 'EM OUT INTO THE DRIVEWAY AND RIDE HER UP AND DOWN TO GET THE OIL MOVING EVENTS, GENERALY WITH LIBERAL APPLICATIONS OF BEER. STORED WITH STABILIZED GAS, AND FREQUENTLY SPRAYED LIBERALY WITH WD40 (THIS IS WHY SHE APPEARS DULL, WHEN THE WD40 IS REMOVED SHE SHINES) SHE STARTS RIGHT UP AND IDLES NICELY AT 900 RPM. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND THIS HAS SOMEWHAT OF A CULT FOLLOWING AND THOSE IN THAT CULT WANT ORIGINAL. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL THIS THING IS BONE STOCK AND COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. HE SEEMS TO THINK EVEN THE TIRES ARE ORIGINAL, THEN AGAIN HE THINKS HE KNOWS EVERYTHING. I HAVE INCLUDED A PICTURE OF THE KERKER HEADER, IS THIS ORIGINAL? I JUST DONT KNOW. I HAVE SEEN SOME PICTURES OF OTHER 78 SUPER SPORTS AND THEY HAVE SOMETHING THAT LOOKS ALOT LIKE THIS. MY BROTHER SAYS IT WAS THERE WHEN HE GOT HER AND HE HAS HAD HER SINCE DIRT. HE SAYS HE HAS NEVER CHANGED ANYTHING BUT OIL. ANYWAY SHE NEEDS A BATTERY BUT RUNS NICELY WITH MY JUMP START BATTERY BOX FROM THE TRUNK OF MY CAR. THERE IS SOME SURFACE RUST HERE AND THERE BUT, ASIDE FROM THE KICKSTAND, WHICH COULD USE SOME PAINT, I HAVE NOT FOUND MUCH THAT DID NOT COME OFF WITH SOME WD40 AND MY FINGERNAIL. SHE DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN DUMPED BADLY FROM WHAT I CAN TELL, SHE HAS A HIGHWAY BAR ON THE FRONT THAT LOOKS LIKE IT MAY HAVE SEEN SOME PAVEMENT ON THE LEFT SIDE BUT ALMOST UNNOTICABLE TO THE UNTRAINED EYE. THE POINTS COVER HAS SOMEWHAT OF A DENT BUT WHO KNOWS. ONE WAY OR THE OTHER IF YOU WANT A NICE OLD HONDA COME AND TAKE HER OUT OF MY GARAGE AND PAY CASH. I HAVE A GUARANTEED CLEAN TITLE AND MY BROTHER WILL SIGN IT IN YOUR PRESENCE IF YOU PLEASE. FEEL FREE TO WRITE ME WITH QUESTIONS. IF YOU SEE ANYTHING IN THIS WRITE UP THAT IS NOT ABSOLUTLY CORRECT FEEL FREE TO SLAP ME AROUND AND CALL ME NANCY, IT WAS NOT DONE MALICIOUSLY. I WILL MAKE CORRECTIONS AS THEY ARE VERIFIED. COME AND SEE HER BY APPOINTMENT, I LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING HER INTO A GOOD HOME. PLEASE UNDERSTAND ONE THING, I WOULD HAVE THIS BIKE LOOKED AT BY A PROFESSIONAL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO BREAK THE SOUND BARRIER. I CAN GUARANTEE IS SHE IS FUN IN THE DRIVEWAY AND SHE SURE SEEMS LIKE SHE WANTS TO GO FOR A LONG WALK. Update. A fellow ebayer has suggested that the exhaust, handlebars and mirrors are not stock. Please research this on your own and note this when considering bidding. it should also be taken into consideration that the original tool kit is MIA. apparantly there is no shortage of these items available from time to time on ebay, once again good luck bidding. please feel free to send in any more comments. thanks. Chris. On Jul-22-10 at 19:15:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Update. Well, I did not expect this kind of attention folks... Quite a few have requested to come and see the bike before hand, a reasonable request for sure. I just cannot afford the time to see everyone one all over the place, so I have decided to show her from say 12 to 2pm. this Sunday (with some flexibility). this should give you 24 hours or so to make your decision. I have no problem with sitting on or the starting of but there will be no riding as I lost a bike once to a test rider who dumped it during their ride. too much trouble. All I ask is that you drop me an Email at cwizardent@yahoo.com as a courtesy so I can know what to expect, I will give my address and number from that email. I hope this is amicable to all. good luck bidding, chris. On Jul-23-10 at 09:40:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Last update. A nice gentleman from PA. asked me if I would not mind describing in detail any rust on the bike especially in places like the gas tank. In keeping this thing as above board as possible, I have taken annother dozen pictures of what I consider rust. I have found for the most part the rust on any of the shiny parts is coming off without much trouble. there are the occasional painted parts that need at least what I consider minor attention. definitly nothing that will keep the bike from going down the road with no trouble whatsoever. please use these as tools to help you bid properly. when this is all over he who wins the bid cannot complain about disclosure. I am told by my brother now that the bike had a tune up at Honda 300 miles before he put her in the garage. I am not surprised as she really does start right up and run flawlessly. this bike has much life left in her. good luck.
