Vehicle Detail
This is for my Yellow 2006 Corvette Z06. Great car, low mileage (less than 15k miles/24k km's). Millenium yellow. Loaded, with navigation system, Bose stereo, heated seats. Car has never been on a race track. Garaged all the time. The LS7 engine seized - the main bearing turned, and the engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced with an LS7 crate engine. Let me know if you have specific questions on this issue. I have included a picture of the engine with the bottom half off. He is what the GM dealership said about the engine: "REMOVED ENGINE FROM VEHICLE AND DISASSEMBLED BOTTOM HALF FOR INSPECTION. FOUND 2 SEIZED CONNECTING ROD BEARINGS AT CYLINDERS 3 & 4. BEARINGS HAD SPUN, CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE CRANKSHAFT AND CONNECTING RODS. ENGINE OIL IS CONTAMINATED WITH METAL." There is no oil leaking from the seized engine. I consulted an engine rebuilder, and he thinks that the engine could be rebuilt. I'm looking at selling the car as is. If it doesn't sell, I will be moving ahead with replacing the engine with a new crate engine, and I will likely keep the car. I thought that maybe someone out there is looking for a great chasis/car to drop in a monster race engine or other! Aside from the seized engine repairs, the only other minor things wrong with the car is that there is a small scrape on the lower right front spoiler from backing out of a driveway (see pic), and a scrape on the front right wheel nicking a curb (see pic). The front tires have a little life left in them, but the car needs new rear tires. Otherwise, the car is virtually perfect, and well cared for. Although this car is currently in owned & registered in Canada, I purchased it in 2006 from a dealership in Illinois. I actuallly bought it off eBay then, and you can still see in in the feedback history. It has been registered in both the US & Canada. Will ship to the US or Canada. I have lots of other pictures. I can email you high res versions of the images too. I'm happy to answer any questions by phone or email/eBay messaging. On Jul-21-10 at 15:14:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note that the speedometer can switch from miles to kilometers electronically. The vehicle is from the US, so it is in miles by default. The mileage in one of the pics is from last year, and is not reflective of the current mileage. On Jul-21-10 at 15:16:51 PDT, seller added the following information: One thing that I forgot to mention in the listing is that there is a small wear mark on the leather bucket seat on the "side support". This is from rubbing it while getting in and out of the vehicle. It is a little less than dime size.
