Vehicle Detail
I have to many cars and not enough time so I am selling my 1992 mercedes 2.5 300d. This car has good points and bad points to it. I just don't have time to continue making it a great car. The good: New radiator, water pump, radiator hoses, motor mounts, lower ball joints, and within the last five years the evaporator, drier, and expansion block were changed. The a/c was also converted to 134. The body overall is solid. the car cruises down the road good. The bad: Has a salvage title. It was sideswipped on the drivers side. Both doors were changed and that part of the car was repainted. The rest of the paint is starting to check, but still looks okay. The transmission flares from first to second until the car warms up. After that, it shifts okay but still is slow. I think most mbz of these years were lathargic shifters When the engine is warmed, at idle a lifter will tick but go away as soon as you step on the gas. The trunk latch does not work. It won't hold the trunk lid down. This just happened within the last month. The drivers seat cover will need replacing. You can get them on ebay. After about two weeks the battery will go down. It jumps of easily. Some of the window switches will need replacing. They are interminent in operation. the sunroof does not work. no katrina damage The car needs a lot of small things, but will make a great car. local pickup only and paid for only in cash. Email me with any questions-Thomas just wanted to add that i drove car today and cleaned it up. the transmission flare that i talked about earlier in this description is actually between 2 and 3 not 1 and 2. but still after about 5 minutes the flare goes away.
