What I have here is my 1970 Ford F-250 Camper special I bought from a family friend that had owned it since 1971. As you can see by the photos it is rusty. It also has a cracked windshield, front bumper bent, grill cracked , the temp control lever for the heater does not work, and the radiator has a slight leak. The odometer says 86,952 but I believe it to be more than that. That is the worst of the truck. Now for the good. This truck starts, runs and drives great. The inside of the bed only has surface rust and is very straight. The tailgate is very straight and clean. It has the Ford Camper mirrors (1 arm on passenger side is bent sightly) Cust-o-matic under dash air condition unit that is complete, the blower fan works but the belt is off the compressor so I have not tried to see how it cools. The original 360 c.u. engine was replaced with what is believd to be a 390 c.u. Ford long block in July 1994 when the odometer read 53,113. I have the receipt for the installation, ( the reciept does not indicate a 390 but I was told by other family members thats what was installed). I also have a maintenance log which the previous owner kept. I have had this truck for just under 2 years to use on my property and have not put many miles on it . Since that time I have replaced 2 "u" joints and the fuel pump. I overhauled the carburetor, serviced the transmission and kept up the oil changes & lube jobs. 1970 Ford F-250 camper special 390 V8 with approx. 33,839 miles C-6 automatic trans Under dash A.C.
