Vehicle Detail
Honda Rubicon 500 4x4 Auto ATV 19 Miles New NO RESERVE Vehicle Description As always, this is a no reserve, no "buy it now", no B.S. REAL AUCTION. The high bidder will win a very sweet four wheeler at the end of this auction. As you can see by my feedback I am a very honest seller. I have never had someone disappointed with one of my auctions yet. Buying an ATV online can be scary. You'll notice in a lot of auctions there is very little description and very few pictures. In my auctions you get all the details, both good and bad. In addition you are always welcome to come check this quad out and ride/inspect it for yourself before the auction ends to ensure your happiness. However, if you are unable to do so I guarantee your happiness, with this: If you win, get here and find that I have misrepresented it in any way you can walk away without paying a dime and with no fear of bad feedback. Quad: This ATV is a 2004 Honda Rubicon 500 4x4 (TRX500FA). The Rubicon is a 500cc, 4-stroke, 4x4 ATV featuring electric start, reverse and the most revolutionary transmission in the industry. More on that in a minute… Other nice features of a Rubicon include a fully digital dash that displays hours, miles, speed, service intervals, clock, etc. They also have a 12 volt power outlet for powering cell phone chargers, spotlights, etc. These quads are full time 4 wheel drive from Honda, but this one has had the Warn 4x2 conversion kit installed so that it can be switched between 4x2 and 4x4. The transmission in the Rubicon is clearly its best feature. First, you have a gear selector that allows you to choose between neutral, reverse, high and low range. Once in either high or low, you can then select between a fully automatic mode or a push-button electric shift mode. In electric shift mode you simply push up or down buttons on the left side of the handle bars to shift among the 5 forward gears. In this mode it is just like a normal foot shift transmission, but you get the luxury of simply pushing a button. In the full auto mode, the hydro-mechanical transmission will shift itself much like a car does. The action is similar to a more traditional variable belt-drive transmission, but without belts to slip or break on the trail. The auto shift also has two modes. In the first mode you get trail riding performance and speed. In the second mode torque is maximized for pulling a heavy load or working. Hi and low range can be used in all 3 modes. I get the chance to ride a lot of ATVs and I believe that this transmission is the best on the market. It just truly offers the best of all worlds. Condition: This ATV is literally in brand new condition. It has 19 original miles and 9 engine hours of use. I bought this ATV from a couple I know well so I know its history. They bought it brand new in 2002 and he quickly took it on one ride with friends, thus the 19 miles. They live in town and travel to ride. Unfortunately his friends that he rode with sold their ATVs and it literally never left his shed again until we bought it. Of course the gas was bad and the carburetor was dirty but otherwise you will be amazed at the condition. We cleaned the fuel tank, carburetor, changed the oil, and installed a new battery. It has since been test ridden and given a perfect bill of health. Everything works perfectly, no mice in the wiring or anything else. It is in amazing condition. If you wanted a first generation Rubicon to put in a museum this would be the one. The only blemishes on it are a few tiny scuffs where a boot rubbed getting on or something similar and a couple bolt heads on the rear axle housing have surface rust. Otherwise you will swear it is a brand new ATV. They paid nearly $8000 for this machine and never used it. Their loss is your gain. It will sell here to the highest bidder regardless of price. We DO NOT reserve the right to end this auction early and there is no reserve so you will not be wasting your time like with most eBay auctions. Good luck. Shipping We do not provide shipping but many of our customers have had great luck lately with www.uship.com You can post your shipping requests there and let shippers bid on them. I will be happy to work with your shipper within reason to make it go smoothly for you. Overall: Overall this is a very nice ATV that will make someone very happy. No games here, it will sell. No reserve and no “buy it now”. As for transaction details, I am located in Sadieville, Kentucky (40370). We are right off Interstate 75, 25 miles North of Lexington KY and 60 South of Cincinnati, OH. I am willing to ship it but you must make the arrangements. Kentucky residents will be required to pay 6% state sales tax on top of the final bid amount. We do not collect sales tax from out of state bidders and there are no other fees of any kind. I don't need a deposit but if we ship, it must be paid in full first. I will not sell it off eBay so there is no need to ask. This machine comes from Kentucky, which does not title ATVs (many don’t) therefore it doesn’t have one. If you live a state like Kentucky or Alabama that doesn’t title ATVs this is no problem. It will come with a bill of sale to prove its origin. Most states (like Ohio and Indiana for example) will accept these documents from non-titling states in order to make you a title. If you are unsure contact your local titling agency to be certain. Lastly, I welcome your questions and pre-sale inspections, but it is used, so once it leaves here it is as-is. Thanks and happy bidding. On Jul-18-10 at 04:44:32 PDT, seller added the following information: At one point in the listing it describes this ATV as a 2004 model, it is not. It is a 2002 as it says up top.On Jul-19-10 at 03:32:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry for the typos. It also says this ATV has a Warn 4x2 selector kit on it and it does not. It is a completely stock, like new condition 2002 mdoel Rubicon 500. Again I apologize for any confusion over the Warn kit and the year.
