Vehicle Detail
I am relisting this 1956 Chevy Bel Air 4 door that needs to be finished due to non-payment It needs a passenger side taillight, hood, driveshaft and interior. I went out and bought a set of bench seats for it. The seats are in fair condition but should be redone. The back seat will need to modified since the bottom half is actually a bit long. The seats are not from a 56 Chevy but they looked like they would work so i bought them. The engine is a 235 straight 6 that I bought from someone that pulled it from their 56 Bel Air. It was running at the time, but I have not completed the install yet. The trans is a 2 speed power glide that came with the engine. the rear end is original as far as i know. The frame has been sanded and 3 coats of undercoating has been applied, then i put on 3 coats of paint. it has new body mounting bushings, (i think 1 or 2 bolts need to be drilled out yet with new bolts installed) I have the bolts needed. The body has been sanded, primed and painted. Some chrome still needs to be put back on, i have all chrome pieces. Body is very solid with no rust. Floor is also rust free. The wheel wells have been removed, sanded, primered, painted and reinstalled. This is a very nice project that would not take to much money to finish. The problem is I am running very low on funds to finish this car and I hate the thought of it sitting until I can afford to finish it. The only rust spot on the entire car is in the trunk (I included a photo) The replacement panel is like $85. I actually found one more small spot on floor by passsenger side back door ( a photo is also showing that bad spot.) The windshield has a few chips, and wing window in drivers door needs replaced. Paint job is new, but I am not totally satisfied with the quality of paint. The car was also painted in my garage which really is not set up to paint or do major restorations, which is why I want to sell this, so I can get a pole barn. Anyway if you have any questions please ask before you bid, I want the winner to be satisfied with purchase. The car will be sold as is with no warranty, There is no reserve so high bid wins. This is a beatiful car with great potential. If the car does not sell this time I will put back in garage and leave it set until I get through this financial dilema then turn it into a strip car. I have lowered the start price to only $2000 but the tires and rims shown in pics are not included, I have a set of tires and rims i will put on that will hold air long enough to load on trailer but after that no guarantees. If you want the tires and rims shown in pics bring an additional $200 when you pick up car. Thanks and god Bless. And please, if you do not intend to buy, then dont bid.
