This 1948 MG TC in British Racing Green has been in my family since 1959. It was restored in 1976 and very well maintained since. Restoration to original condition included complete engine rebuild, ( the engine number matches the ID plate) chasis restoration, new wiring harness, and interior. Interior is naugahyde in bisuit. The side curtains are original and complete but need to be restored, The top was also replaced in the original restoration with a vinyl top. Recent work includes new tires and a new stainless steel exhaust system . The paint, body and chrome finish is excellent, however there are a couple of imperfections as noted in the pictures. The steering wheel is original with a some cracking in the finish and should be restored or replaced. Although this is not an EXU model it is equiped with rear turn signals from the that era and also band type bumper bars. An engine temperature gauge was added and the car is also equipped with a heater that was originally offered as an option. I do not have it connected to the cooling system but have the connections that are required. Although the odometer does work I can only estimate the actual mileage. Overall this is a very nice example of an MG TC that could be used as a daily driver or finished to concourse condition without a lot of expense.
