1983 Mercedes Benz 240D 126,000 original Miles You will have a hard time finding a Mercedes 240D as clean as this one. The exterior is in great condition. All rubber and seals are excellent. There is no rust. The vehicle features the original Becker europa cassette player radio. The MB Tex interior and head liner are in excellent condition. The vehicle rides and drives great. I rarely drive the vehicle and it has been kept indoors. Please contact me with any questions that you have. I am selling the vehicle because my job now requires a long commute and I did not want to put unnecessary miles on this beautiful little car. Only known issues are the vacuum pressure is weak at low idle after the car is started, but the pressure builds after the car has been running and the power antenna, locks and sunroof operate without issue. The idle needs some adjustment as the car is reluctant to turn off at low idle. I had a great Mercedes mechanic work on the vacuum pump and he said there is nothing wrong with it, so it might just need a fine tune. The driver seat springs ride low. And the right front suspension sometimes makes a knock noise when the wheels are cranked hard to the right. Otherwise, the car runs strong, is very clean in and out and I've had no issues with it. I bought it from a guy in Texas who bought it from a guy in Palm Desert, so it it appears the car has spent most of it's life in dry and warm locales. Orignal Service book and radio operator's manual included. I love this car and hate to sell it, but in this economy I can't afford the luxury of owning and caring for a classic as a second car.
