1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. I purchased the car locally about 8 years ago from the original owner's son. I had the car in storage up until about a year ago when the warehouse was sold. I would really rather not part with it, but I just don't have the time or place to work on it. This car is all original and by that I mean, no amateur bodymen have been hacking away on it. The floors are really solid with only a minor hole on the driverside. It is about 4-5 inches long and about a half inch wide. It could be patched very easily. The car also has rust in the usual spots, the rockers and rear quarters behind the wheel. I have done absolutely nothing with since I purchased it, the car ran when I brought it home but the throttle cable was broken. The car has not been started in 7-8 and should be considered non-running. With a battery, some new plugs and fresh fuel you could probably have it running in a few hours, but I can't guarantee that! I would say the car is 99% complete, all the lights, door handles and trimwork is all inside the car. The top frame is there and I do have the glass rear window (I will not sell the window separately). All the rest of the glass is there and in good shape. I would have like to restored this car, but due to lack of time, I would rather see it go to a good home where it will be restored. Not too many of these left.
