Vehicle Detail
circumstances don't allow me to finish this project, so it's time to hand this 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang over to someone else, so they can have some fun and return this classic to the streets! bring your truck and trailer, and load 'er up... my goal had been to "hot rod" the Mustang, and a lot of premium parts that are still new in the box are included with the car: (see numbered photo 1) Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum Street Cylinder Heads (#60329) Hooker Headers ceramic-coated header set (#6901-1) header Gasket set (#6901/FPP-1415) Edelbrock Performer RPM polished Intake Manifold (#21211) Fel-Pro intake manifold Gasket set Ford Racing Valve Cover set (#M-6582-B303R) Ford Racing 13" low profile Air Cleaner assembly (#M-9600-A302) Competition Cams Hi-Tech Pushrods (#7929-16) [shown in photo 3] Competition Cams Magnum Steel Roller-Tip Rockers (#1442-16) [the Rockers have some surface rust from storage] Holly Street Avenger Carburetor (#0-80570) ARP Engine Bolt Kit (#554-9601) Summit Head Bolt Bushings (#9680) Melling Lifters (#900-16) Melling Oil Pump Screen (#68-S) Pioneer Inc. Flywheel (#FRA-203HD) Mallory Distributor (#4755101) and Mallory Resistor (#700) [Mallory items not shown in the photo] engine: the 302 short block was re-built by Mike's Speed Shop in Murfreesboro, TN. It's outfitted with new pistons, and a new Competition Cams Xtreme Energy camshaft (#31-238-3). transmission: the transmission was re-built by Phil's Transmission in Murfreesboro, TN. mileage: the odometer on the car shows 24,100 miles; which probably represented 124,100 (?). since the engine and transmission are completely rebuilt, I assume that the new owner will want the mileage shown as "000" on the title; I will let the buyer decide that. Brakes: the brakes are newly serviced, with new pads and springs, etc... Bumpers: new chrome Bumpers are mounted on the car; plus, the original bumpers are also included. note: the prior owner had cut off the "outside" bumper mounts on the front of the car (for reasons not known). The front bumper is currently attached to the car by the (2) center bolts only. paint: Overall, the paint is in very good condition. However, it does have some imperfections, and is not a "showroom quality" finish. In my opinion, the paint is suitable for a "driver" or "cruise in" car. interior: the Seats are functional, but the upholstery is not very clean looking. This car has the rare Bench front seats with the fold-down armrest. The trim panels on the doors are just loosely attached (not clipped in); those door panels are really ugly, so expect to recover or replace those. The car needs a new headliner (and windshield), and also needs new padding for the dash. no battery or radiator: a battery is not included with the car. the radiator that was on the car when I got it was junk, and it's no longer with the car. new springs are needed for the hood, and a new inner retainer is needed for the lock on the trunk. {note: since this was a "work in progress", the buyer should expect that they will need to provide various parts and accessories to complete the car.} items in numbered photo 2: original bumpers, bumper mounts cut from car, drive shaft, engine oil pan, glovebox insert, Mustang dash cover, Mustang floor mats items in numbered photo 3: pile of various parts... some good parts that still need to be put back on the car, some junk parts that need replacing, and some old saved parts that have already been replaced on the car. title: the title states the year of the car as "65" note: the red engine stand (shown in the engine photo) belongs to a friend of mine, so it is not included with the car. Please ask all questions before bidding; the car is offered "as is", all sales final. I don't consider myself to be a "car guy", and I am certainly not a Mustang expert, but I will be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. All information in this listing is believed to be accurate, to the best of my ability. However, I do NOT make any guarantees, and will NOT be liable for any errors or omissions. Since assembly of the Engine, Transmission, and other components has not been completed, I can NOT guarantee the fit or function of any parts or components of the car.
