1982 BUICK ELECTRA PARK AVENUECLASSIC CAR PROJECT OR PARTS CARNO RESERVE LOW "BUY IT NOW!" PRICE AUCTION If I remember correctly, I am the third owner of the car, since its original purchase. I acquired it via my parents, in 2002. I believe they purchased it from the original owner sometime in the early to mid-1990s. The original Olds 307 V8 was completely rebuilt in 1997 (will include paperwork/documentation) but now needs work and has not been started in four or five years. It was having ongoing electrical issues – went through a number of batteries, both battery cables were replaced, and the starter was replaced shortly before it was parked. In addition to the electrical issues, an amateur mechanic was allowed to rebuild the Rochester Quadrajet carburetor and at the same time was supposed to bypass/and or remove the air conditioning components from the system. However, neither task was completed properly – parts were broken off and a number of vacuum connections were not dealt with properly, or at all – and it never ran right after that. The odometer reading recorded on the paperwork from the 1997 engine rebuild was 10,257, and a current pic of the odometer shows 53,500, which means the current total mileage since the rebuild is 43,243. The dash is in pretty good shape, and the original AC/Delco AM/FM Stereo Cassette Radio is still installed. Inside, the headliner sags (mostly over the back seat area), the original leather front seat was replaced at some point with a cloth covered seat, which is pretty tore up, and there are a couple of paint spots on the back of the passenger side rear leather seat, as well as some scuffs here and there. Otherwise, the leather rear split bench seat is in pretty good condition for its age, with no major rips, tears, or holes. The original jack and lug wrench are stored in the trunk, and all four of the original wire hub caps/wheelcovers and centercaps are still mounted on the fifteen inch wheels along with whitewall tires, the rear two of which are a pair of HERCULES POLAR TRAX P215/75R15 M/S studded radial snow tires with at least 75 to 85% of the tread still remaining on them (the other two regular radial tires will be included, and are currently in the trunk of the car, and mounted on their own wheels), and also included is a special wrench used to install special bolts under the center caps of the wheel covers, which effectively lock the wheel covers onto the wheels to deter theft, unfortunately, however, three of the four special bolts have been lost or misplaced, and only one will be included, with the special wrench. Externally, the hood ornament is missing, the grill was removed – but will be included, the passenger side mirror is broken, the driver’s door window glass is broken out, and the hinge on that door is also damaged/broken (door still opens and closes), the red taillight covers are cracked and/or broken on both sides, and the rear bumper mounts are tweaked up slightly (which can be seen in the pics). ALL other window glass/mirrors are intact with NO major cracks or chips, the body appears straight and in good condition overall, with no major dents, creases or rusty spots, all chrome pieces and other body details (minus the hood ornament) are intact and in good condition. Also inluded will be the ORIGINAL OWNER’S MANUAL and MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE, the ORIGINAL GM DEALER WINDOW PRICE STICKER, and TWO CHILTONS MANUALS which include specific data for the 1982 model year.
