Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This bike is turnkey and ready to ride – runs great. It doesn’t appear to have ever been down. I picked it up a while back after the owner gave up on it due to the carbs gunking up. It’s obviously sat a lot as evidence by the low mileage so upon receipt I proceeded to bring all the maintenance up to date. - - Carburetors rebuilt with new O-rings and fuel hose installed, and then vacuum synced - - Stock type Uni air filter inside original airbox and the airbox foam seals replaced - - Valves adjusted and new original equipment (OE) Suzuki valve cover gasket installed - - Changed the oil in the engine, secondary reduction gear box, and final drive unit - - New Kenda tires installed: 100/90H-19 front and 130/90H-17 rear - - New OE fork seals installed and forks refilled with fresh 15W fork oil - - Front brake system rebuilt: new OE front caliper pistons/seals installed, new OE master cylinder kit installed in good Suzuki GS master (original was shot so it was replaced), new Teflon/stainless Earl’s brake lines. - - Rear brake system torn down and old brake fluid cleaned out – new Teflon/stainless Earl’s brake lines installed The gas tank is clean and rust free (original paint) and everything works as it should. The battery is strong and the charging system is working as intended. I sold a very similar 850 a few months ago for $3600 – this one is more original, and runs just as well. These bikes are super durable and typically will run 100,000+ miles with good maintenance. The bike comes with the signed, but undated, title from the previous owner (I never put it into my name). For those people interested in learning about GS Suzuki motorcycles there is a wonderful website dedicated to them... http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/index.php I'm a member of this site with over 12,000 posts learning and sharing my knowledge - mostly in the Technical forum. I've owned a number of these bikes including one 450, two 550's, a 750, two 850’s and two GS1000S's, so feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about this bike or other GS's and I'll do my best to help. Thanks for looking and please bid high!
