Up for bid is my 1980 DATSUN 10th ANNIVERSARY EDITION 280ZX COUPE! To commemorate the arrival of the Datsun 240Z onto U.S. shores 10 years earlier, in 1980 Datsun released a 10th Anniversary edition 280ZX coupe. There were 3000 total examples produced. 2500 are of the black/gold version while only 500 Rallye red/Thunder black versions were produced. Those with black/gold's opine that their's are more popular. They are only more popular as 5 times as many were produced. If you desire a truly collectible Z car, look no further than the very limited production numbered 280ZX before you. A two owner, non-smoker, garaged & pampered Colorado car. Always rust free and accident free. It was entirely professionally repainted with PPG paint in 2004 at a cost of almost $5000. This ZX is number 1910 of 3000 10th anniversary edition 280ZX's. Datsun did not produce all 2500 black/gold examples and then produce the 500 red/blacks. They are filtered throughout the entire 3000 vehicle run. What distinguishes the anniversary 280ZX's from a conventional 280ZX of 1980 is the following: 2 tone paint pattern w/accent striping & accent painted aluminum wheels. Numbered console plaque Red leather interior Automatic climate control, heat, AC, defrost (original AC, ice cold, never retrofitted) Hitachi stereo w/seperate cassette Headlight washers Smoked glass 10th anniversary decals/owners manual Excellent condition throughout. Drive it anywhere with pride of ownership. Recently gone through bumper to bumper, fully inspected & serviced for Summer, 148-155 compression in all 6 cylinders. New belts, hoses, oxygen sensor, all fresh fluids & a full tune up. Entire exhaust system from the manifold back in 2009. There are NO annoying drips or leaks...period. Legendary & proven Datsun 6 cylinder engine. 5 speed manual transmission, smooth shifting throughout. Power windows & mirrors Factory cruise control Headlight washers Every feature is fully operable. At 30 years of age, the car is in near immaculate condition, it needs nothing but a new owner to continue to provide the high level of care it has always received. Excellent glass & rubber throughout T-tops with original sun shades and storage bags. No leaks whatsoever. Original collapsable spare with Datsun inflator cannister. Original stereo (plays fine) Excellent interior throughout, carpets, door panels and interior panels, there is a minor wear scuff on the drivers seat, there are no holes or tears. There is one small 2 inch dash crack at the windshield, otherwise it is in excellent condition. All safety features are fully functional.
