Vehicle Detail
1954 Packard Patrician sedan. The car was last operated in 1959 as is seen by the 1959 Vermont registration sticker and 1959 license plates. Not in running condition although the body is in very good condition. Please inquire with questions regarding the car. On Jul-14-10 at 13:37:14 PDT, seller added the following information:Due to overwhelming requests for additional images I have taken additional images of the car which you can see below. On Jul-15-10 at 09:00:55 PDT, seller added the following information:Due to the overwhelming number of questions I would like to add additional information regarding the Packard. I attempted to alleviate some of the questions through adding more photographs but the following is some additional descriptive information as well. There are four hubcaps. The seat is a power seat. There are rear footrests. The car has the original jack in the trunk. I do have the Packard emblem which is shown in one of the images below and which fits on the front of the grille. Aside from two wear spots on the front seat which can be readily seen in an image below there are a couple of little areas (less than an inch in length) with a bit of the white showing through from behind the fabric threads on the front side of the front seat back cushion. The rest of the interior is in over-all excellent condition including the headliner which aside from some dusty cobwebs is also in excellent condition. The rugs do not show wear other than being dirty and some of the nap is flattened but in areas where there would not be feet placement the nap is raised with little or no dirt residue. Both front and back rugs are in similar condition. I have had someone I know who does not collect Packards but deals with used cars and who knows the mechanics and how to diagnose body condition and he indicated that it would make a Packard collector very happy to find a car such as this with the body in the condition it is in. He said from his inspection that the rocker panels are solid and from what he can see the floor boards are solid although in order to really look at the underside well the car would need to be jacked up, the body mounts are solid and the 1/4 panels are solid. The car has been sitting on a cement floor. On the top of the car can be seen some small mud nodules which are a result of mud wasp nests. There are two support bracket holders for the trim on the back left side of the car, one of which is missing and the other with partial loss which is why the ends of the trim pieces are not secure to the side. I am sure I have missed describing other details so please inquire if you have further questions. On Jul-17-10 at 07:21:13 PDT, seller added the following information:I just want to add back in 2004 work was begun on the engine to get it running but a death in the family a short while after the work was started halted the continuance of that work.On Jul-18-10 at 14:29:53 PDT, seller added the following information:With a sponge I washed a section of the top and right rear door of the car to show what it would look like cleaned of the dirt and dusty coating.
